How do I get the blinds to drop in the first place? You go from mounting it to attaching the rod to change the angle of the blinds, but never show how to get the blinds to drop?

Just pull the bottom down. They no longer have cords because of choking hazard. To go up you just lift from both sides.

Mine only came with 2 hinges why did urs come with 3 is it because u have a big window mine is 34 x 48

Most likely. Shorter blinds don’t need all the supports.

sadly you skipped over the reason i ruined the first set and am now still trying to figure out with the second set...and that is removing the bottom button and actually unfolding the blind. Why that was skipped is beyond me

Sorry, we have long windows and that step was not necessary for our home. If you pop the buttons out with a flat head screwdriver you can then remove unnecessary slats. I prefer to not cut extra length until you have reassembled the bottom piece. I hope that helps.
