    You are quite welcome Erica. A drill with brushes should be just fine. You may want to drill a small pilot hole with a small bit it the wooden window frame is to tough. Sometimes you’ll be dealing with a metal drywall corner to go through which can give you a fight but that is rare. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much for watching!

    I originally thought you were supposed to hold the clip vertically and get the bottom edge in first, then move it upright to get the top portion in. By watching your video, I see that you're supposed to start horizontally when sliding it in. I got it the first try that way 😁

    Thank you for this. I’m trying to attach the plastic clips that go on the back of the valance and the instructions do not show doing it the way you were doing it, my hands hurt and I’m frustrated, now I’m going to give it a try the way you did it. In addition, step eight with mine is definitely not that easy. The end pieces do not go in without a light hammer tap, and when I tried to put one on the other end it cracked the base because it just doesn’t fit. 😣😫😖

  • @FieldGuidetoDIY

    @FieldGuidetoDIY

    Lisa W Great question. With the legislation banning cords, it is strictly pulling the the blinds down. The spring tensioner in the mechanism holds them at that height. Then manually raise them to the desired height and again, the mechanism holds them at that height. Thanks for watching. Have you purchased them yet?

    The instructions told me to cut strings, without cutting these, the blinds would have never lowered down even when I was pulling them down. Worthless instructions... now I can’t even ever lift the blinds up.

  • @FieldGuidetoDIY

    @FieldGuidetoDIY

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@dy586 Did you cut the strings at the bottom or the top? The adjust the length of the blind (to fit smaller window openings), you cut pop out the caps from blind bottom and cut the strings just past were your bottom blind would be and then rethread the string and return the cap. I should do a video on how to adjust your Levolor blinds. Be watching for that in an upcoming video. Sorry for your experience. Let me know if this helps.

    First bracket i didn't drill pilot holes and found out the hard way why they are important. I had to manually turn the screws. I also put the mount too far forward so the valance sticks out. The stupid cover at the top is more difficult then it needs to be to install. 2:19 ohh so you turn it sideways, thanks! The illustration in the instructions is terrible.

    It is crucial to make sure you’ve got all of the packing material out of the mechanism case at the top. It should draw down with only a little resistance. If you are sure then have someone pull down the blinds as you hold the top. See if you can see what is stopping it. I hope this helps. Please let me know.

    @@FieldGuidetoDIY Yes, You didn’t go into how poorly written the instructions are, the fact that if you follow the instructions that you will damage the blinds, and how to properly shorten the blinds once they have been installed. I eventually found the information online as the instructions were useless but not after I had followed the instructions “to the letter btw” and damaged the first one. I wound up making a specialized tool of my own in order to complete the install without further damage. Nine blinds in all. I will never own another Levolor.
