    Mine only came with 2 hinges why did urs come with 3 is it because u have a big window mine is 34 x 48

    Most likely. Shorter blinds don’t need all the supports.

    What I don't understand about these videos, is there always show how to make something with tools and equipment that are expensive to have. And if you have that equipment more than likely you already know what you're doing. The people watching this video to make their own need to know the tricks of the old ways so they can make their own.

    I understand your frustration. I assure you that while I use power tools all the cuts can be made with a hand saw and a chisel.

    Will NEW #9 x 3 in. Star Drive Construction screws cut it you think? Also, do you have any plans?

    They should work fine. I am still working on plans. The main number to remember is 23.5 inches for almost any cut.

    How do I get the blinds to drop in the first place? You go from mounting it to attaching the rod to change the angle of the blinds, but never show how to get the blinds to drop?

    Just pull the bottom down. They no longer have cords because of choking hazard. To go up you just lift from both sides.

    sadly you skipped over the reason i ruined the first set and am now still trying to figure out with the second set...and that is removing the bottom button and actually unfolding the blind. Why that was skipped is beyond me

    Sorry, we have long windows and that step was not necessary for our home. If you pop the buttons out with a flat head screwdriver you can then remove unnecessary slats. I prefer to not cut extra length until you have reassembled the bottom piece. I hope that helps.

    Sorry, but that is not a Stanley Bailey plane. They didn't have lateral adjustment levers until type 5. The twist type lever is probably a Union, Ohio, or Sargent. Also wrong screws holding on the tote and knob.

    How much of those three decking boards are left over when all said and done? Curious if you could widen the seat to a solid 24”. Thoughts?

  • @TheThriftyWoodworker
    @TheThriftyWoodworker Жыл бұрын

    You could go a full 24 on the boards. I have found that you then have to increase the gap on the seat backs to account for the increased width. I found it aesthetically less pleasing, but if it gives you the room need to sit, go for it.

  • @Shagwell2121

    @@TheThriftyWoodworker perfect. I have two deck chairs that are 22” right now and they are comfy but some ladies in the house like to sit Indian style on them while reading and figured another inch or two would give them some more room here. Thanks for the reply and great job with these!

  • @TheThriftyWoodworker
    @TheThriftyWoodworker Жыл бұрын

    You are correct. I used roughly that amount of wood but it was from a reclaimed 5/4 board. The width was only 3 inches, and the length of the Jeep was only 9 1/2 inches. I probably should return my trophy.
