An old Stanley combination spoke shave is loving restored by this guy who has no business owing tools, let alone vintage tools.

The wedge part should have been casted new in brass or good cast iron.

Sir I just watched this video and found it very cool and interesting. I have a spoke shave very similar to this model with one major difference the blades are slotted and secured via a screw and pinch plate. I had no troubles sharpening the blades but I am unfamiliar with setting the cutting depth. So I ask you what is the proper depth of the cutting edge in reference to the frame

Cut depth on a spoke shave is about 1 mm. They are for very fine work.

@@TheThriftyWoodworker Ok do they go bevel down? I have a very old combination set that I inherited and was watching your video to learn more about them . Would love to see more. Mine have a screw on plate in the middle of the blade that holds them in place. A straight and a concave blade. How do you use the concave blade?
