Vintage Wrench Restoration

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I took a big chance and bid $5 on a picture and description on a local online auction. The description said everything on or under the workbench. Turns out there were more than 20 tools thrown on that bench under a lot of garbage. My favorites were a saw sharpening vise, a German saw still in the cardboard, a 4 saw set tools. But this big lumbering wrench just kept drawing me back to it. So I cleaned it up with vinegar and a few wire wheels.
Once I could read the mark, I searched the internet and discovered I am now the proud owner of a Joy’s Wagon Wrench. A premiere tool for all wagon and buggy enthusiasts of 1898. So now all I have to do is find an 1898 buggy and the set will be complete. Wish me luck.

Beautiful. Watching these videos gave me inspiration to strip and redo an old Columbine metal vice. Many coats of paint, rust, and grime. It is drying from its coat of primer in the sun as I type this. Thank you for your video.
