How to Install 2" Blinds - Easy Peasy!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Installing blinds is pretty simple and only requires a drill and a couple of drill bits. It takes about 7-10 minutes and anyone can do it. Watch this quick video to see how it's done.
I purchased my blinds from www.blindster.com but you can also purchase them at Home Depot or Lowe's or you can order them from any number of websites. The blinds shown in this video are not the faux wood blinds but just the economy 2" blinds. I find that these are easier to clean than the textured faux wood blinds.

Just wanted to pop in again and say thank you so much. I had to put up some faux wood blinds and the instructions that came with them are awful. So your video was a very big help. Thank you

Dear Stacy B: Maybe you could "sea" your husband again, and see how he fares with this.

Wow, I did not know it was this easy. I have 5 sets to do.
Easy, just like the title says thx!! 👍🏽
Thanks diy nils getting to it right now😬😊
Always put the valance clips on the headrail while still on the ground, not while holding it up in the brackets. Also, before lifting the blind to install it in the brackets close and latch the door on the left, slide the left side into the closed door bracket and then put the right side in and close the door.

This is great for Single Moms!!!
Hey nice video man! I recently painted my house and took down all the blinds, now that the house is painted I'm putting them back but I have a problem. The screws don't want to drill in, they hit something! I didn't put the blinds up initially but how in the world can they not drill in if they were already drilled in before I painted? What are your thoughts?

Alejandro Munoz That is pretty strange. They’re likely hitting the metal corner bead around the window frames. It’s typically a thin metal sheet that you can get through with some sharp screws or a drill bit. Super weird that it’s happening, though. Good luck.
Thanks guy, good job. Very clear and through. Have you seen any complaints about these blinds warping????

real wood will resist warping better, but not particularly suited for damp environments (bathroom, kitchen)

I'm curious what was the metal behind the frame you mentioned while drilling on the side frame?

I suspect it was what is called corner bead - a metal angle used to make sharp corners, like on that inside upper corner, but I'm not certain. Corner bead isn't usually particularly thick but the bit I was using wasn't all that robust either.

Can’t hear you
Just a small point: The word "valence" rhymes with "balance". Great video, though.
Never put blinds flush with the window, you want at least an inch off the window, that way there in no chance the blinds would hit the overhang of the window’s lower part (the edge you hold to pull window down or up).
