Interesting exercises. Not only you are rewarded with abs as a result, those exercises are also heavily reliant on mobility as well. It conditions you to be more flexible when your goal is to get abs. I love this. It's a win win!

Wanted to ask you for an opinion, since you're a pro. I've been hearing on multiple channels that spine bending during workouts should be avoided, since putting pressure on the spine in that way is bad and creates openings for an injury. Also, abdomen muscles work more as stabilizers, so the best way to train them is in that manner. What do you think?

What movement are you referring to? Flexion, lateral flexion?? Some movements of the spine shouldn’t be loaded however most are safe for example simple flexion and extension of the spine, they shouldn’t be loaded generously tho. Something like a Jefferson curl is actually healthy for spine health if done correctly

  • @kreculjkreculj

@@TheHabibOfMankind Flexion, crunches for an example. Like a constant protraction/retraction. What i've heard is best exercises for abdominals is stabilization exercises(like front lever, dragon flags, leg raises, superman pushups etc.)

@@kreculjkreculj But what you have to realise is that flexion at the spine means flexing the abdominals. If you look at pro athletes, pro powerlifters to pro bodybuilders they all train the abdominals through its ranges and their haven’t been any significant studies to show that they’re harmful. Just like the hips, shoulders and ankles the spine needs to be moved to avoid stiffness and bad posture. It’s not harmful as far as I’m aware but I’m open to discussion
