Even 2 months later and after hundreds of listens this song still gets me every time. Probably because it hits close to home. Both of my grandparents on my dad's side had dementia before they died, with my grandma dying from covid on new year's eve. Even though the song is sad, it's really helped me deal with the grief.

This is a song that has made me emotional every single time I hear it. I hate that it's so good.

I start to struggle with it at "It's hard to lose someone to why" and then when she passes on to see her husband in the afterlife the tears really come out. I think this is the 15th or so reaction I've found and each time it's the same. Quality song, and heavy in the best way.

Spiritbox never disappoints. Just fantastic. It would seem that all of the components of this song and video really came together to make something special here. That heavy use of distortion and dissonance at the end of the song, it feels like the song is going to resolve to something more satisfying... then it just cuts and leaves you with the piano. Fits perfectly with the theme. Good reaction. Also, your tattoo is awesome. :)

@@TiaHope yes, it really does. it speaks to a lot of people who are/were in the same situation. i've lost my mom a few weeks ago - not to dementia or alzheimer's disease, but to her third stroke - so the subject of loss hits home for me, too. whatever, you're very likable and i'm enjoying your reactions. ♥♥
