I wanted to leave a comment here, too. It's a great reaction as always, and you are setting a wonderful example for the fact that Nightwish can be enjoyed regardless of the vocalist. I definitely adored seeing the joy in your eyes (I tried describing it differently, but can't).

@@TiaHope I always look at the eyes first, they can tell you so much about a person. I'm glad you took it the way I meant it, it's not easy these days trying to convey something by words alone, or compliment someone, while trying not to sound creepy.

I always liked Annette. She brought us so many great songs like 7 days to the wolves and Amaranthe. Thank you for sharing this one, Tia. Stay shiny.

Anette's voice really came into her own on the Imaginearium album. Great album Marko, awesome as always

Meadows of heaven and Eva are great songs from dark passion play, in wich Anette made a great job

You will probably enjoy seeing and hearing Annette with The Dark Element.

I used to think for years Annette is just a bad vocalist. Turns out Nightwish material just doesn't work with her personal style and range. She's perfectly fine in DE.

Enjoyed your reaction and I think all 3 singers are great in their own way and deserve love and respect from the fans. Too many fans try too hard to compare or pick favorites and I feel like they're missing the point and need to just appreciate the music and the evolution of Nightwishes sound.

If you want some more “metal” from this record, check out Master Passion Greed. All vocals by Marko, and its arguably the heaviest song they’ve ever recorded. Always love Empuu’s epic power stances in this video.

"Meadows Of Heaven" is another good Anette-song, some say it's her best. Only available as a studio song as far as I know (no video, just a static picture), and a fan-made lyrics version. No versions with Tarja or Floor either. Cheers / B.

honestly might be my favorite song from Nightwish. i mean theres a 10 way tie for favorite. but that song is so un-nightwish, yet very beautiful and peaceful.

They're all really beautiful, but after the first few times whenever I watch this video I can't help cringing a little because of how they mistreat those instruments...😅😅😅 👋🇮🇹🖖

The lyrics were directed to Tarja. It was the album just after she got fired. It's why this song doesn't get played live anymore, Floor never performed it also because she's friends with Tarja. And yeah it was a more mainstream straight metal song much less of the symphonic part.

Escapist is one my faves with Anette. But as far as I know, it was only a bonus song. Newer even performed live.

Annette was just getting good live in 2012 (She was always good in the studio) - have a look at "Slow, Love, Slow" from Monetreaux, live 2012 - different again.... and then there is the movie version!!!.....

I like all 3 singers thay all did good

They made up with Tarja, and are as close as friends as you can be after the turmoil. they promised that they won't play those songs anymore, for the sake of putting bad blood away. Or so what i've heard haha.

This is one of 2 very angry songs on the same album (the other is "Master Passion Greed"). It's not usually something you see from Tuomas. It was a strange period. Don't get me wrong; I like angry Nightwish. It's just not that common.

It's an ugly song though. Don't get me wrong, I love NW with my whole heart, but that song is meant to sound ugly and trashy, because that it what the song is about. Also it's the only song where they use swear words in the lyrics (afaik). I think it's more an outlet than something that tuomas would like to show people when they ask what he does for a job. Time has healed the wounds and that song has to disappear with the pain, imo.

@@TiaHope Tia I enjoy your reactions except when you do studio videos ,please dont NW is ALWAYS best experienced LIVE a band or performers true talent is always revealed in their live performances and by doing studio vids you are missing out on a much better version live and then your viewers are missing out as well.Amaranth at Wacken 2013 for example is by far better than any other version. cheers

Annette was great on studio records but her voice was not strong enough for the live gigs. With some exceptions, those were mostly the softer songs.

I kind of hate to put this in writing because she is obviously a skilled singer and probably a decent human being, but her pronunciation is very "Finnish rally driver". I know there are plenty of different English accents in the world so I don't why this bothers me so. Possibly because I'm Finnish. Not a rally driver, though - apart from an electric bike, I haven't operated a motor vehicle since the early 90s.

@@JoakimDrakoga, indeed she is. And Swedish is a Germanic language. Like English is. Unlike Finnish, which is why our rally drivers sound like they do.

Anette was horrible live. I saw them twice with her and had a chance to see a third show and said no thanks. Tarja was good live and Floor even better.

I've said it once, i'll say it again. I truly don't care for Tarja singing, but I thank her for the band itself. I love Annettes voice and her 2 albums might be my favorite albums they produced. But.....Floor has the best stage presence, and voice of the 3. Tarja has a great voice, just not my style personally, hot take, i know...
