'Indiana Jones' of Perfumes Bewilders Dragons Over Contractual Rights | Dragons’ Den

Ойын-сауық

Next into the Den is David Pybus, also known as the 'Indiana Jones' of perfumes, who's pitching 'Scents of Time' - his perfume line based on perfumes lost in time through disaster, found again and recreated. Two of his perfumes were from RMS Titanic and Pompeii. David seeks £80,000 in return for a 20% equity stake.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

Even though this is an r extreme old episode , Note wrinkles are non existent on Dragons 🐉 David Pybus is a legend in perfume. Dragons made an error on this . His first 3 fragrances are: Pyxis which is a recreation of a fragrance from Pompeii. A Mediterranean melange of citrus, fruity herbal head notes softened with a rose-jasmine accord embedded with powdery, sensual notes of incense varieties intermingling with a blend of woody notes. A combination of flowers and fruits from his garden. Nenufar, the sacred scent of Cleopatra. A transparent floral-green blue water lily bouquet, with the pungent aroma of nutmeg rounded by light powdery notes with angelica and almond. Ankh, Tutankhamen's aroma of intrigue and is based around the notes of sacred Kyphi. Ankh is a delicate composition of the original blended herbs and resins of Kyphi, with Citrus notes giving a semblance to original camel grass and calamus, spice notes truly reflecting the original formula, and resins, honey and woody notes blending perfectly to evoke that smoky aroma of burning incense. Truly a gift of the Gods and fitting tribute to the boy king Tutankhamen. He has further fragrances in the pipeline to be launched, but to my mind, the most exciting is Night Star which is a fragrance that was discovered in a case at the bottom of the sea in The Titanic. The Titanic fragrance was originally created by a German perfumer who was based in Manchester called Alfred Saalfeld

Valuation is not completely insane given the market, he mentions how huge the market is and what kind of money he could make if he could get a foot into the door, it‘s a nice idea that you can sell well with some nice stories about historical figures and events… Not surprised that there was some interest.

Well, that's weird. Two weeks ago I visited Wallace's Monument in Stirling, Central Scotland. This was the place where William Wallace defeated the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge (see Braveheart). Anyway, this old man came up to me and handed me a sachet. I asked what was in it. He replied that it contains the original aftershave lotion Wallace wore on that momentous day!😀😁😀😁😀!!!
