Maybe but lets not pretend that these people who run the shows dont know about the history of the people coming on and without a doubt prompt the dragons to ask about it. Could even go as far as the entrepreneur being in on it to (as in being told to express their story on the show). This is common on shows like britians got talent, x factor etc. Lets not pretend these tv shows would pass up on emotional entertainment oppurtunities like this.

That woman is one of life's winners. She will be a success no matter what she does. She's intelligent and articulate whilst being exceptionally dynamic and likeable

The way she talk, communicate, answer their questions, and confidence, she really is going to be a successfull person in the future.. i am actually idolizing her right now.

Had a quick look at her her family and her father was Moshood Abiola, may he rest in peace and I'm sure he's incredibly proud of her

This woman has everything. She's brilliant and poised. She has the most beautiful face and winning smile I've seen on the screen for ages.

I've never seen this pitch before - probably the best pitch I have ever seen in the Den, it sent shivers down my spine! What an incredible lady!!!

Peter hasn't looked this sharp and crisp in years.

From a presentation point of view, she was wonderful (excepting the slip up perhaps caused by nerves over the burn rate). Clear speaker, oozing charm and intelligence, I really hopes that this business works out - or rather - is working out.

I think i was rooting for her along with her dad, what an inspirational lady

If you know who this ladies father is, you will know that she's born for greatness. I can't even start to imagine what that pressure must feel like but at the same time it seems that its her driving force.

A great episode. She has amazing poise. I really like her

Where are they now? According to Crunchbase, the company is now closed. It was acquired by Bright (an online recruitment network) on Dec 4, 2017 for an undisclosed amount which is when social media posts also stopped.

I did similar pitches at Uni, using existing software to just make a basic prototype and never had any issues. There was great, free community building software like Dolphin around in 2008 and earlier.

These elderly dragons run in an old school mentality, I dont think they are tech savvy, more likely the let their secretaries or young staffs do the tech work

Peter is more than 2 dragons though :) I am glad she picked him, no disrespect to the other dragon. To be honest this happens a lot on the Den. Peter makes an offer and someone else comes in after to try to match it. I have seen it with lesser pitches when suddenly they get interested after Peter's offer, because really he is pretty good at what he does, hence why his worth is more than all the other dragons put together.

I would have liked to have heard more about the algorithm. I've dealt with similar algorithms and the time complexity has always been factorial. Multiply the number of interns by the number of placements, and square it. If they were only allowing the employers to state preferences, and not the interns, that would have halved the complexity but delivered a poor outcome for the interns. Running a cycle to allocate 300 interns at 300 placements would take several minutes. Multiply those numbers by 10 and the processing time is multiplied by 100 and it now takes several hours.

You may be overthinking it. This is really basic stuff.

Split investment wouldn't have been worth it in this case. You would want Peter full on.

You can have a picture on a CV. Linkedin has profile pictures. Its just that employers cannot reject/accept your CV based on your appearance, with a few exceptions like acting work.

Some of those Dragons Must have a DOZEN or more Businesses they have bought into Just on the TV show, Plus whatever they Already own. All these Businesses will need Top Quality & Qualified Trainee Staff.
