Notice how the camera has to come in slightly from the right of centre in order to keep her centred between the two blue lights at the beginning...that's because Angelina knows exactly how to identify the sweet spot on that stage with the band set up...no one will try to tell her to stand somewhere else...

'Song For A' was written for here at the age of 12. Contemporary Classical sort of. Different than anything else she's done. She is brilliant, so refined.

Looking forward to that next dart throw! This performance is when I stopped saying, "For her age." This is as good as or better than most professional singers.

Just for the record, this was not only recorded when she was 10, the video was actually posted to her channel when she was still 10, so there's no doubt about that age.😁 (And even if there was any doubt, articles published at the time make it clear that this was part of a live broadcast on 2016-12-30.) There are other things that are claimed to be from when she was 10 where we just have to take someone's word for it. Some of these I have no problem believing. Others I still have a hard time accepting, even after having heard everything else she sang at that age (that's out there). An example of the latter (and actually the only example of the latter, really) is her audio-only cover of "I Will Survive", which was posted to her Fanclub Mosarz channel 4½ years ago: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n5Vr1cOYnprRXZs.html The video title clains it's from 2016, which would mean she is either 9 or 10. And since it is clearly not possible that she was 9 (compared to other things she did at that age), the implication is that she must have been 10. And yet, I have a _really_ hard time believing that. (I mean, even compared to this performance of "Feeling Good" and another that was reportedly even closer to her 10th birthday ["I'm Still Holding Out for You"], her voice in "I Will Survive" sounds significantly more mature to me - and I don't think that can be chalked up to the very different timbre she is using. But regardless of her age - and in spite of the Actual Mistakes that she makes as she sings what sounds like a first take - IWS is an _amazing_ piece of work.)

Sound of greasepaint, smell of the crowd was a play on words for the expression "smell of the greasepaint, sounds of the crowd", which was a description of being at an old timey baseball park.

Yes, Angelina is very "business" when performing her songs, taking her craft seriously from the age of six. However, if you would like to see her having fun with a song (while still absolutely killing it), you should react to her singing "Something's Got a Hold on Me" when she was 11 years old, at the "Alsang pa Grensen (Sing Along on the Border) Music Festival" which was a yearly event in a beautiful ancient castle grounds near the Sweden-Norway border. It is so much fun watching her have fun entertaining the audience who loves her!

The musical was titled “The Roar of the Greasepaint the Smell of the Crowd”. The musical composers, Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley purposely transposed the two words in the title to create more publicity. The critics had a hayday criticizing the “amateur mistake” not realizing it was intentional. The switch worked and the musical had a moderate success.

Great reaction and comments! This was her band with added back up singers but without strings for a series of concerts in Norway in the summer of 2017. Great horn section. They were great and some nice videos of these concerts are up on youtube on Boris Palenovski's channel. Her band in her Las Vegas concerts reminded me of this lineup a little. Angelina shines with minimal accompaniment or with a big orchestra like this or with a jazz combo. Hell, she shines singing accapella in an Uber.❤

If you want to have some fun, look up her behind the scenes rehearsals when she was young. On NGT, she is rehearsing Summertime, she is listening to the musicians work on how to do the piece, then starts to sing and then she stops to tell the trumpet player that he missed his entrance. She also picks up his mute and sings into it when she appears bored with the discussion. Her rehearsals are as good as her finished products.

It is business for Angelina. Exactly. She spends 6 hrs a day 6 days a week on her craft for almost a decade now. When asked about boys of romantic interest, she has responded with "boys only give me trouble." she is very serious about her music. Watch her face change when Simon is about to speak on AGT after Bohemian Rhapsody, she went from smiles to dead serious in a twitch.

Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction. There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed. (1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice. (2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move. (3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus. (4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance. (5) That wonderful crescendo at the end. (6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance (7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand. (8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 6.33in your reaction video. (9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!" (10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child, who curtseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause. Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different
