Tamrons finest lens is the 15/30 g2 lens....click yes if you agree
Finally a review! I got it on release day and when I used it. I was shocked! Like the focus was insane. It never missed at 1.4! And was so fast! The sharpness made me shocked! It made my d750 looked like it boosted to 30mp 😅. Overall this is the best lense in my arsenal. I own. 5 of the tamron set up. 35 1.4, 45 1.8, 85 1.8, 24-70 2.8 g2 and 70-200 2.8 g2. The 35 wins!
I'd totally watch a video about all the lenses you really hate - if you don't have already, I'll search
But can it run crysis tho
Dude. I just bought one of these. Well...... OMFG! I've never loved a lens so much! I wish you'd put up some actual images rather than let us view them on your screen. Just a thought bud.
Tamron 35mm 1.4 vs Tamron 35mm 1.8 vs Zeiss 35mm Distagon 2/35?
samples pleeeez
I have more than 20 lenses. The latest and pricey lenses, and then I have 7 classics or legacy lenses I bought on your advice. Every one of them has been exactly as you described. I now try to infect others with the passion for legacy lenses. You do know what you’re talking about. I’m checking out this latest Tamron now but I have the Nikon 35mm 1.8S for the Z7. I’ll be looking for comparisons and happily switch if the Tamron is better.
Time to sell my Tamron 35mm F1.8...
When I first saw this video a year ago I put this lens on my wish list based on your recommendation. I was finally able to purchase this lens about a week ago and I have to say I am blown away with the quality of this piece of glass. Thank you very much for the recommendation Ken!
One thing to bear in mind . It has an electronic aperture making it unsuitable for any Nikon film camera. No doubt it's perfectly good on the usual Nikon digital cameras. That's a shame as I only use film and would have probably bought one had it stuck to the mechanical aperture.
Fallowing you four years and thanks for clearing my photography journey, you are a real guide for me,a 60 years old photographer searching for better technology...
Look at The newer Tamron 35-150mm it is a great lens. I have shot over 40 jobs with it now weddings and portrait sessions all outdoors on my Nikon Z6 and many in very bad conditions. It is a wonderful lens to use. Very fast AF it just never misses as good or better than my Nikon lens. Been editing 4 to 5000 images a week from it. Love the range it covers large groups of people at the 35mm end and the zoom end gets me all my waist up and headshots and more easy. The F4 at 150mm background blur bokeh is very good all I ever need with keeping the F4 good in focus range on the subject. I was using two Z6s and different lens before this but now just one Z6 and this lens give me everything I need for all my paid jobs.
Do you still vouch for the 35mm f2 AFD nikon?
My first "Ken Experience!" Thank-you! I was considering purchasing this lens. Now I am strongly considering purchasing this lens. Your review was great AND entertaining. I am a former public school teacher, and KNOW how important it can be to both know what you are talking about while simultaneously (hopefully) being engaging, too! You've GOT IT, Ken :)!! Thanks for all of your info. Love the "Trifecta"! All My Best!
I own a Canon EF Tamron 35mm f1.4 and, yes, its amazing! Perfect lens. Super sharp, fast, with unique color rendition. Tell how many lenses you've tested with almost perfect contrast, sharpness and color saturation wide open? :)
i am tired of hunting the Zeiss 35mm f2. So i found your assesment about the new Tamron and now i ordererd it. i hope, it is the right choise. thx 4 your knife sharp comments. Greeting from Germany.
This is the first piece of kit that “everyone” seems to be on the same page about how it performs...I am not a huge fan of the 35mm focal range BUT this will be added to the bag!
Just had the tamron 35 1.4 for a week. Sharpest lens i own. Have cannon 70 to 200 2.8 and 24 to 70 2.8 . This lens has a 200 rebate till end of May. tamron has really outdone themselves.
Thank you Sir! Bought this lens because of you and others on KZread, it's magical and sharp, thank you!
