Just FYI, imu is a word created from I and mu in Japanese, reversing it will be mui which is completely meaningless, it wouldn't become umi. 😁

I almost wonder if Imu has the water fruit logia or even a water god Zoan. It would make sense that basically a water world would be ruled over by a water fruit user. That could explain the calm belt since if Imu is immortal they would have so much time to develope the use of that fruit and change ocean currents to divide the world beyond being split in half by the red line. It would also be the opposite of joyboy bringing the world together by divide and conquer

I like this idea a lot. It would make sense for Imu to do that, both to keep people apart and weaken df users. I could see it

Quick theory: 3 powers loop theory. In every generation, there has to be 3 powers. An evil one (like Blackbeard or Rocks), a free one (like Roger or Luffy), and a marine (like Garp or Koby). The free one and the marine have to team up to defeat the evil one (shown with Roger and Garp Vs Rocks) so in the final saga Luffy and Koby will team up to defeat Blackbeard. This can also provide Imu's backstory, because there were no marines in Joyboy's time, so he couldn't team up with a marine to defeat Imu, leading to Joyboy's defeat. This can also tie into the concept of fate and destiny, while showing that history repeats itself. It could also mean that the reason Roger and Garp didn't beat Imu was because they were there at the wrong time and the One Piece wasn't there yet. The fact that Garp and Koby are here could mean they can take out both Blackbeard AND Imu in this generation.

Fun Fact: Zoro's father is Terra (Land) Sanjis mother is Sora (Sky) and Luffys mother is still not revealed... So it's possible that it's Imu "Umi" (Sea)

So I know everyone theorizes that imu is Luffys mom, but what if she is instead Shanks mother and that explains why shanks can meet the gorosei without problems. Also it ties really pretty with the theory in this video. That IMU comes from the west sea and God valley.

I really like the idea of Imu being from God Valley. Would be cool. And if Imu destroyed it, it gives another layer to Imu's tyrannical ways and cold indifference to life, even life in their home island

Just imagine That Oda sensei watches ABD and appreciates that ABD is on the whole another level in creating theories that are so accurate and good!

Notice how the first person who called imu SAMA were the gorosei and the gorosei old as hell also in Japanese people call older and respectable people sama so imu has to be very ancient

I think it would be cool if Imu is responsible for what happens to df users when they're in the sea. Then w out Imu the df users could be fine in the water. Maybe Imu used their power on the sea to both weaken df users, and to make it more difficult to travel the sea. To keep the islands of the world more isolated and to keep all of the people more fragmented. That would make sense to me. And only the bravest df users could go around

Oh most def. I think Imu probably had a hand in Rocks downfall. An Roger probably knew about him, but couldn’t stop him, because he knew his time was up with his illness, but entrusted his goal to Shanks who would entrust it to Luffy to bring down Imu when the time came.

You know you MIGHT be right because maybe Imu took the last Road Poneglyph and why Laffite mention about a black ship that controls water to make large whirl pools to destroy other ship that tried to get near it and Imu could be the culprit

I think it would be cool if there was someone that really wished to be able to use haki, like all forms of it and as a result came the haki haki fruit, giving the user the power of God haki. If haki beats a devil fruit based on its level and you awaken the haki haki fruit, you’d be able to beat all other fruit users no?

Akainu doesn't want to get rid of pirates, he told Fujitora he wanted Shichibukai to exist. Fujitora wanted to get rid of them not Akainu. Akainu is only against the enemy of the government. If pirates sides with government he is ok with it. He destroyed civilian ship in Ohara, that had nothing to do with pirates.

one piece is just a carbon copy of laputa castle in the sky. Same exact story line as oda was a child when he saw it.

this is my theory on what imu's fruit is. First the god fruits:rain,sun,moon,earth I think imu is using one of the god fruits because first in the anime there was flowers grass and butterflies when we saw the characters imu was interested in which could be the god fruit earth here is another idea which is the god fruit rain because when we saw imu's attack there were tornados and rain all over the island. thank you for listening to my theory
