Imu is the daughter of Joy Boy. She is the original D & the ancestor to all the D's. Joy Boy was a king & unbeatable, he let her win because he couldn't destroy his only child. The hat is a reminder of her dad. Joy Boy foretold that she will one day lose her throne to her own offspring as did he but at a specific time. Gol D was too early for the prophecy to be fulfilled.

That's why when Roger reached laugh tale or Raftel, he started laughing as he understood that One Piece is not a treasure, but the way the whole world, which is divided into four pieces come together, to form one piece.

Is the clan which made the Noah really went extinct? When Luffy tried to destroy it and the Sea Kings caught the Noah, one said "we need that clan" to repair the ship. So I am wondering, maybe that clan is still somewhere, waiting for 'someone' to fulfill the goal of Joy Boy.

Excitement, but sadness at the same time because my favorite anime will be ending soon SMH. Well, I haven't watched Bleach yet so maybe I'll start that after One Piece :)

Based on what we know from the story so far, there's still quite a few arcs left. This is all purely my guess because I'm not Oda, but we should still get Elbaf, Lodestar Island, Strawhats v. Blackbeard, Final war w/ Imu, Laugh Tale, and maybe more. Final saga means it's the home stretch but damn is there still a lot of ground to cover.

Luffy isn't reincarnated his df is the same as joyboys so they both are identical maybe joyboys personality and power is in the df that Luffy ate

The final battle will be fought in two phases. Earth (Gods vs D’s) and Space (space pirates vs sea pirates). Two sides of the coin is what E.Oda writing is based on. The space pirates were the one who started everything.

I just can't wait for the reveals that will turn this whole series on it's head.

Ever thought about reviewing class room of the elite light novel

The reason Imu was holding the picture of Vivi is because she’s a relative of one of the founding nations, it’s mentioned when people think Sabo killed her farther

Imu-sama is just a different version of Joyboy from a split timeline, hence the name I m u(I am you)

My mini theory is that imu was not a D but he/she was a close friend of joyboy. Like Oden's story, joyboy was a sovereign of the ancient kingdom but he did not want to rule or "conquer anything" he just wanted to be free. However, one family or individual had dark ambitions regarding dominating the world and this was where Rocks and Blackbeard came from. They managed to usurp the ancient kingdom much like what orochi and kaidou did to wano. In order to stop them, joyboy had to liberate the world from their oppression and imu was one of the ones he saved. They eventually allied with the 20 kingdoms to overthrow rocks/marshall D family from the ancient kingdom and that is when joyboy promised poseidon they would be able to live on the surface after that conflict. They eventually succeeded but imu had other plans, they wanted to rule the same way rocks/marshall D did in order to prevent it happening again, betraying joyboy's philosophy. Alabasta or the nefertari family refused to join. Joyboy was chased around ang regarded as a pirate by the newly formed world government. That being said he stole an imporant treasure (the one piece) from the now world government controlled ancient kingdom and hid it in raftel. He knew he couldnt succeed in his own lifetime so he apologized to poseidon for not fulfilling his promise. Eventually joyboy surrendered to imu and the world government, and before his execution would tell the world of the treasures he hid from his pirate career and impart the will to pursue those treasures. His crew made up of different races from around the world would inherit their captain's philosophy and one day fulfill his dream. they code their names by putting a D in it. A descendent of a rocks/marshall family would have been part of the crew as well cementing the one piece theme "fhe sins of the father are not of his sons" and inherit joyboy's will (joyboy probably saved this kid during the conflict). However, down the road, descendents of the D would suffer a black sheep from the will of rock/marshall family who usurped the ancient kingdom before. Imu sama knows this very well and had warned joyboy about adopting the kid but joyboy told him/her that the sins of the father are not of his sons. The world government would label the Ds sworn enemy of the gods hiding the true nature of their name. They try to prevent the D that would usurp their power just like the rocks/marshall family that usurped the ancient kingdom.

So we're finally in the endgame now regarding One Piece. Like with Supernatural, I knew this day would ultimately come but I'm still not ready for the end. I'm sad that it's ending but hell, its been one hell of a ride though. RIP to those who the Lord called home before they could reach the end of the journey along with us though.

Doflamingo is the key to everything!!!! He knows the dark secret of the world government the leader from the shadows that’s why akaino was so mad when doflamingo had made a decision and asked imu sama to fake him leaving the warlords in a news paper and how even the the 5 elders didn’t know how he pulled it off imu Must have been scared that doflamingo would tell the world but the main problem with my theory is that why didn’t imu sama didn’t just kill doffy here are two of my thoughts on that matter: either imu sama is weak and is incapable of killing people meaning she is not strong. Or maybe just maybe the reason she didn’t order or kill him is because joyboy liked the fact that imu had a kind heart and was someone who wouldn’t hurt someone herself wish would explain the theory as to how she fell in love with him because or her pure ness how ever she didn’t want the tree to be destroyed so she betrayed the one she loves. But something else just in meaning dragon maybe he also knows after all there are many organisations that go against the world government yet the revolutionary army is seen as the most dangerous mainly because dragon knows who imu sama is and he got angry at seeing that the world was bending to someone who would betray the person they love wish also in theory could explain what happen at god valley in a sense in could be that garp or dragon saw or heard about imu sama from rocks himself and that’s why rocks wanted to be not the king of the pirates but instead king of the world and that’s why roger went straight for laugh tale after the god valley incident and also because rocks not only told everyone about joyboy wish is how kaido hear about him and decided he was gonna be joyboy because he was tired of waiting which also could explain the smile devil fruits and also I think vegapunk might not actually be working for the government of him own free will I think they are forcing him and I think imu sama is the one how is the one who is doing it herself and it would explain why vegapunk lied and said the mythical fish fish fruit model dragon is a failure because he didn’t want the government to have it or he didn’t want them to know that devil fruits can be made artificially and would also explain that imu same Must have figured out that that he was lying and also why the government want the nika fruit so badly imu must want her former lover back but in a way she wants him and likes him to be by doflamingo knowing this valuable secrets he alone has more power that even the fleet admiral imprisonment was the best way to keep him in Check and I think the reason he is still alive is because the 5 elders want to know everything he knows although there is a assassin going after him it might be that even the elders don’t know imu sama sent him so it shows there are others who know imu sama besides the 5 elders so there are greater powers and why the dragons get away with everything the Do is part of that deal aswell so I say doflamingo is the key to unlocking the secrets of this world .

All of this questions will surely be answered in this final saga and the hype is real!!!! Its kinda sad knowing one piece will end in a few years

What if the connection is just really simple? What if Joyboy and Imu were a married couple and Imu just got super pissed that Joyboy was never home and went nuclear, similar to situation what would probably happen if Luffy and Hancock would get married.

I think zunesha met with joyboy like how laboon met brooks crew, and zunesha at that time was young and to save him joy boy punished him over something so trivial and told him to walk, as an excuse to save zunesha. Just started watching one piece a week ago and actually cracked what the will of D is. It’s simple if you look at luffy he wears the will of D on is face. Hint it’s his smile or laughter, it’s always in the shape of a “D” is joyful demeanor is going to be spread throughout the world. And with is awakened devil fruit it would be even more possible👍🏿

In the post-war arc, the five elders reveal that the "D" stands for danger. Donquixote Rosinante explains to Law about the family of "D"

I think joy boy is Luffy (or shanks in a very strange case but I don't think so), and the hat plays a role in the future along the new inventions in the final. The Ds are all the people who fought in luffy's side. Luffy has several ships that fight along side him, probably Blackbeard will also join him in the fight. I also think ussop will die and that maybe they'll disband, maybe the betrayal is from Nico robin or most likely Nami. She has no devil fruit, she suffered a lot by the fishermen, she can change due grief and something that can happen in the future. Fucking hell, Luffy will meet Roger.

Imu in Norse Mythology is "Jotunn". Jotunn are the ones who are dwelling across the boundaries from the gods and humans in lands such as Jotunheimr. Jotunheimr are often translated as Giants. That is why IMU clashes with Giants before, The Giants clan are the D Clan (Joy boy).
