Those Barbados cherries are so underrated. I have 3 huge shrubs in my yard and just love them. The birds love them too. Lol 🍒🐦

Thank you!! I’m modeling my Bullhead City garden after your set-up. Getting that canopy. I’m also sprouting Desert Willow (Chilopsis Linearis) trees, which as it turns out, can take weeks to germinate. I have 3 tiny baby trees with second sets of leaves already, I’m so happy about that.

So I have two Barbados cherries that I put in the ground around Feb-March timeframe. They are doing great, but they are planted on the west side of a large sisso tree. They begin to get direct sunlight about 12:30-1 in the afternoon all the way to sunset. Is that enough sun for them. It kinda looks like you have the same setup with the mesquite tree.

Where did you purchase the Barbados Cherry? Do you know where in Phx you can purchase fruiting Mulberry Trees? They apparently are not allowed in many HOAs.

Ive had two in-ground die from cold (zone 9b) with only a few frosts the whole winter (lows of 26-27ish). Both times they were a good size at about 7-8ft tall and were planted in a protected location. Now I just grow in pots but the growth is considerably slower as expected.
