Jay, could you do a video that suggests fruit trees that can be planted for successive ripening throughout the year? So that any given month when you walk in your yard, there is something ready to be picked and eaten?

Kumquats are a great option for elongating your season. Those would definitely be one that would help with successive ripening.

Hi neighbor! Greetings from Surprise. Thanks for the heads up! We have a ton of trees and plants going dormant. We actually had a really good growing season. Crossing our fingers Spring is kind to us for good production next year!

Very unusual EXTENDED cold snap this year---So the ground soil is colder earlier than maybe we have experienced in decades. Concerned for this winter ! But Weather patterns are unpredictable, so you never know what will ensue. Hopefully, we do Not have many freezing days this winter. ! Though with the early start, stone fruits should potentially have plenty of chill hrs :)

How well do you kumquats grow when in the ground? I've read they prefer acidic soil

My citrus never lose their leaves (exception for one right now that actually did die I think), believe I'm in similar climate, Cali low inland, 9a. They take mid twenties F when small, considerably colder when mature.
