    Corrections since I'm getting too many comments to respond to: - "Cherry barb" was the common name we used on the trip, but apparently the true common name is spotted rasbora. Should've just said Boraras maculatus, this is why common names suck - The "tetras" are just harlequin rasboras. I mispoke. The info about them is true though

    Another correction, at 9:85 is not a betta pugnax, it's a betta imbellis, pugnax don't have red on their pelvic fins

    Malaysia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea are the most biodiverse countries in South East Asia. And in the earth/world scale of the most biodiverse countries.. at no 2 behind Brazil is Indonesia.

    these fishes are GORGEOUS holy crap. Never knew that cherry barbs naturally populate such extreme environments. Those wild bettas are so beautiful. And shout out to that millipede, its legs really be wildin....

    I love the difference between a fish tank and their natural habitat. You're so used to see them in these beautiful, colorful, crystal clear aquariums that seeing them in what's basically a muddy pond feels wrong.

    Cast Nets are definitely an awesome way to catch, but it takes some practice to throw one! Don't get one that's too big!

    You should definitely visit australia we have very unique fish like the Murray cod, lung fish, rainbow fish, galaxias etc

    These are literally the fish I keep and want to keep ❤ very cool to see you in Malaysia. There is a user in r/aquariums that lives in Malaysia that regularly post awesome fish he finds in streams and peat swamps by the road. So jealous, pickings are pretty limited here in Aus

    The earlier part takes place in I believe an oil palm plantation, they are very common and often cover large swaths of land here in Malaysia. Still surprised to find interesting wildlife there though. I believe the guppies are introduced purposefully to control the mosquito population, they are also commonly found in drains.

    Yea we have alot in kulim my hometown i saw someone selling snake heads and walking catfish for sale but I think its animal abuse cause they had no water just being put out in a tub with no water no filter and no air cause its a morning market

    Yay! Best series!! When I saw that this is going to be released in around 10 hours I was So excited the whole day. I had to do some work and ten now I’m finally able to watch this.     Though I was kinda hoping you'd get to see some Giant Snakeheads. They're pretty much the posterboy of aggressive predator fish in the entire Southeast Asia region. Absolutely stunning and beautiful fish.
