I was a ten year old boy forced to sleep in the open desert in the dead of winter. No tent, no fire, a cold, rough scrap of tarp for a blanket. We were out there for over a month, and I had the flu-- or SOME virus-- so bad that I couldn't eat, and couldn't stop shaking. I was drug back and fourth two or three times a day so the THING I was with could eat IT'S fill at a local homeless mission. Had to climb over an abandoned freight train each way every time. Again, I was ten years old and basically dying.

I was homeless in Germany for 2 1/2 months & this felt weirdly nostalgic. In a way, being on the street is both an existentially soulcrushing yet simultaneously liberating experience.

When I was homeless I went to the council to get help and accommodation, I was told I couldn't get help without a permanent address.... I'm lucky that bad times have gave me greater understanding of lots of different lives. Though many don't believe it, anyone could end up homeless, one bad thing can snowball. I definitely have a huge appreciation of having a roof above my head and food in my belly and I make sure to stay grateful for all I have.
This needs to be made into a movie or series. Wow, being enslaved by beetles has to be a terrifying experience. I'm glad that some of them were able to get away.

idk why but the line "the beetles dont like human songs" is absolutely hilarious
I'm currently homeless, I'm in a shelter, but before this I was living in my car and paying a planet fitness membership to shower so I still looked okay to go into stores and steal to survive. So glad I got out of that and am on my way to having a place to call home for me n my baby ❤

I'm mixed on the part 2 idea but I think I would say yes. I don't know, I think I'm just not to into the bugs so if there's more maybe it would make it better. It's a great story up till the revel. I think it needs a different end or fleshed out more.
@dome2919

@@YourFriendCaspian it was weird, a lot more *grounded* than I expected the ending to be. If the part two was something like (spoilers) "we found a way to gain limited control of where we're jumping to, and we're gathering someplace because we don't want to live in fear or leave the next batch of marked people to slavery." and proceeded to "The bugs served this entity, force, etc." I would get much better closure. But I wonder whether that adds too much "sciency understanding" to this magical horror

Never the typical, generic tales. The stories here are always interesting, and really unique. These narrations and the stories themselves really stuck with me "Police Stories, From The World’s Strangest Town", "We built a gateway to a star 1,470 light years from Earth" "The Strange World Through The Window." It'd be cool to hear more stories with themes like those in the future. Awesome narration as always.

That was very well written for a creepypasta. It explains the purpose of the transportation, without needlessly going on about it. The beetles are an interesting twist, again, the author explained just enough to maintain the tension. Definitely a story I would like to hear more of. It would be interesting to tie it into the Nation Park missing persons conspiracy, with the government trying to study or exterminate the beetles.
