Shocked that he is so good (relative to me) at animation art! I didn't know that!

I think that’s what made Buzzfeed Unsolved so successful. Their show was more based around the two host’s banter as a believer and a skeptic rather than the evidence itself. So even if they didn’t find anything, the episodes were still fun and interesting to watch. They’re also respectful of the places they go to, and they treat their audience like adults instead of children, letting us create our own opinion on whether or not ghosts are real. (Edit: the replies reminded me to promote their new show “Ghost Files” on Watcher, if anyone is interested.) The only thing that made Shane Dawson’s ghost hunting content tolerable for a little while was when Drew and Garett were there, because it brought in that fun banter. It didn’t feel so serious and campy, more like friends just goofing off.

First time I've clicked the like button and it jumped from 1.9k to 2k

I stayed at a "haunted" hotel in Scotland once and from the conversation at check in I got the distinct impression that they were trying to gently feel out whether we'd be disappointed if we left without some creepy noises during the night. I'm sure they have the means make sure people don't leave disappointed.

The wet spot had me rolling 😂 The scariest question of them all.. “Why did I put my nose and lips as close to that baby as I could?”

I'm really glad you decided to call out Ghost Adventures. In a recent season, they came to my town and "investigated" the death of a woman without asking permission from her family. Her daughter had to make a yt video saying that her mother did not die because of demonic possession, she was on drugs and fell over a concrete slab into a creek. They also talked to an elderly man about our town's "demons" and this man has dementia. They exploited him for their story. I used to watch them with my family all the time but now our whole town despises the GA team. Edit: how the fuck did someone make this into a vegan propaganda message. Also, the video is now private but if you look up "Biggs Ghost Adventures Daughter", the first article recites and refers to the video I've mentioned here. I think my favorite aspect of this video by far, aside from the cowboy bit, is the spookometer check-ins. It's cool to hear how you felt and _why_ you felt that way in the creepier moments.

I am so glad that I found this channel because I have often wondered the exact same thing about some of those ghost shows. I know that Ghost Adventures is way over the top, and they try to make things seem like there is activity when in actually there is nothing there. I get it though, we watch these shows because we want to see something, and when there is no activity, then someone might say that the show is fake (GA is very low on the credibility scale) I have a couple of places here in Los Angeles that I want to check out, like the Heritage Museum, but I'm waiting until after the 1st of the year. Great video!!!👻

The only ghost hunters I trust are Shane and Ryan, because its been 7 years and they still haven't found anything despite how badly one of them wants to.

As an electronics engineer, the "hunting devices" are hilarious to me. EM frequencies are going to vary any time someone's cellphone tries to get reception. The other gadgets are also probably messing with it. A radio that's flipping through a bunch of stations is going to pick up little clips of stations and if it picks up talking stations (more likely to happen if it's using AM also) it's going to put together some words, and our brains desperately try to make anything that sounds like words make sense.

Pretty much everything I've seen as proof can be justified from my point of view. As I said, you're 100% entitled to your opinion, I won't try to change it. We can exist without agreeing on everything

My family went to the Sallie House this year, and the only thing that happened was that there were some motion-activated toys that scared us. Imagine hearing someone repeat everything you say despite it not sounding like any of your friends/family. That was terrifying for a second. Other than that, literally nothing. It’s a nice house. This video was great. Danny and Shane Madej have the same energy while ghost hunting.

My dad stayed at the Stanley once. He got one of the "haunted" rooms. Said he heard voices and realized the door wasn't shut all the way and there was a staff outside talking... So he scratched the door and they stopped talking and walked away fast. I wonder how many times that's happened with other staff?

Power of suggestion is powerful. Also, fear is one of our most primal instincts. Better to be afraid and alive than calm and dead- is what the oldest part of our brains tell us constantly. Controlling that is either extremely difficult or impossible. You were primed to be scared, and so you were. Totally normal. And, subsequently, the root of a very significant portion of "ghost encounters". Confirmation bias, embellishment-until-truth phenomenon, hyper-vigilance, high susceptibility, grief... a mix-match of two or more of these things and then some account for most, if not all, paranormal experiences. However- hey, who knows?

I can’t believe you didn’t bring a ghost hunting teddy bear with you. Just a novice move you really dropped the ball on being a ghost hunter.

My sister and her friends stayed there for her birthday when she was like 12 and they had a terrifying experience. In the middle of the night they heard the sound of something at their window and a bunch of scratching. A raccoon broke into their room and scared the shit out of all of them. So if like 15 years ago you heard a bunch of screaming kids in the middle of the night at the Stanley you now have an explanation.
