I've been hyped for this game since 2020, I'm so happy this game is releasing this year

By the way, the game is open zoned like FFXII and FFXIV and not full open world, which I believe is better suited for Final Fantasy as they can pace content and gameplay way better.

I wasn't the most excited for this game but since the SOP I'm hyped, this game looks phenomenal

Boarded the hype train early on, as soon as word gotten out about a new installment being produced for the franchise. With every piece of info taken into consideration, a TV upgrade and PS5 purchase was imminent. The wait is almost over.

First video of yours I'm seeing, great content! One small thing, you're using the word privy when you might use biased or partial instead, privy means to have knowledge of something. "I am privy to state secrets", "...some people in the FF community are not partial (they do not like) to action games".

Trying to stay spoiler-free as possible... I already knew I was gonna pick this game up as soon as I saw the trailer. To me it's a no-brainer.

FF16 is not really open world and I say more like FF12, FF14 or God of War. I'm confident because Yoshi P. He was charge FF14 and Heavensward team are developing FF16.

How anyone could not be interested in this game is beyond comprehension. This game has everything I've seen in all games from the past all in one. Great graphics and crazy over the top battles and scripted ones, but all looks unreal and just phenomenal with great effects behind every attack. I think the only thing that could hold the game back is the story, and perhaps if the combat just doesn't really cut it after a few hours, but I doubt it. I think the linearity that has been implemented has a good reason to prevent players from deviating from the course while at the same time giving them cool moments in between. Hopefully, the game does open up at some point. I don't want this to be an ff13, which was terrible after 7 hours.

Its not open world tho. Take more like big areas to explore like the one in GOW

FF16 looks really good and I hope it smashes the sales.

Maybe it's been awhile, but how was FF10 controversial?

It’s super linear when compared to the games that came before it. Before it became the darling of the franchise it is now, people were scathing about the linearity that was unlike FF1-9. It also got rid of the ATB system for a true turn-based system instead. People didn’t like that either. When it came out tho, none of that mattered, because the game was good despite people’s misgivings

Unfortunately TotK will get it because FF always gets overlooked. This game is going to have to have a God of War tier story to stand a chance over the Nintendo fanboys. Don’t get me wrong, I love Zelda, but it needs to be dethroned.

@@dustonscott7638 it will probably have a better story than gow. Gow story just had the father -son dynamic going for it, thats why it was special. As for Zelda yeah I am with you, its a good game but it shouldnt own the goty title just for being a zelda game.

Honestly zelda should not be goty. The ground has been stabilized for its world and all they added where new moves and transportation although I do think it adds great replayabilitily. Ff16 could get repetitive but he combat might save it
