The part where time starts running out and they have to rush their moves is always so intense

This game was insane. That closed position with all the pawns lined up is something you don't see every dau

It's perfect for a blitz game. Having to win an 80 move game under time control is very difficult and if he understands the closed position, he's almost unbeatable.
@neruba2173

This is because closed positions only happens if both play closed, which is not very often. If any of the players want to open the game from the begining and start trading pawns the closed game is over.

they are both very good... masters , that's all, they have lots of moves to follow already in their minds and a plan, and openings and they control all that, so they can also talk, and all that under time pressure :)
As usual, Anna is always willing to show us games that she didn't win, just because they're interesting to us.

Fascinating opening he played, gonna have to study the lines on that one 😃
@GPantazis

It doesn't really have many lines, the opening almost always transposes to some opening with the King's Bishop fianchetto. Its main difference is that Black can play any way he wants on the center, so from strong players it basically translates to "go ahead, pick an opening. Any opening. I know them all."
Love this one. The trashtalk is so subtle but friendly ;)
that first move he played- either a noob or so strong he can get away with it.
I am not a chess player - I never 'got' it - so the banter is amazing, they play chess and chat like old friends.

After watching like a dozen of these videos, I realized that I hadn't subbed yet so I had to right that wrong. She's definitely earned it. Very entertaining channel.
I know you lost but that was a super fun and instructive game, thank you for sharing
Not sure how your channel got into my recommended list, but I really enjoyed your videos. I’ve “known” how to play chess…meaning I know the piece names and moves they do lol..that’s about it. I really suck. Just watching these videos is inspiring to actually learn for to be somewhat good. Very cool how people are so good. Amazing.
Gosh, it seems like you're having a great life, meeting all these varied people and playing chess with them.
Fun to see anna climbing her subs count from where she used to be a year ago
That was a really interesting opening he did, there was also something beautiful about that closed board… Would like to see you play that guy again, I bet you’ve already looked up some H.O. counters.
I agree, with others, that it takes courage to post the games she loses. I have the utmost respect for all who are willing to play this game, in front of an audience, on camera. Not everyone is willing to be so humble.
One of your most entertaining games on channel so far! This was great 👍🏻😀🇬🇧
Anna knows chess is like life...what a great woman..you had good parents and it shows
Awesome game, cool guy, Anna. Very enjoyable. 😊
Always love it when you go "oh no no no!" - turning the tragedy into fun :D
Such a fun game. I really enjoy watching your games.
I love blitz so much, you can be playing a master or a strong player but everyone can be susceptible to time trouble
That was really fantastic. You win some, you lose some. Great Game!
That was fun to watch. It was a serious match with playful banter mixed in the match. Nice match Chess Princess.
'I got lucky on this one' ..... such humility? I salute you Sir.
I miss living in a city where you can just go outside and run into some people playing chess.
He's definitely a teacher of the sport and if the student listened they will become better
Anna is such a gem she's a great personality for the chess world shes kind humble and funny
She made him stop and think! Brava!
This channel is extraordinary, the drama illustrates the chess well enough that as bystander I get feeling of being into it even though I haven't really played since my teens [=~2*y2k - now]. Also, it makes me see playing chess as attracting players to a virtue I hadn't seen in chess, but that I sought in usenet news around y2k: the benefit of learning what neither knows beforehand by side effect of sharing a disciplined dispute with persistence. There's a bizarre coexistence/competition between the reward of winning a game and the reward to learn the lesson of an original game. What do chess players say to greet? Elo.
Underrated video- staple of this channel is anna playing high-rated multi-lingual players, lets keep it going. (request: put the elo rating- ? is ok- when you have a h2h game vid). thx anna and mods
Enjoyed this one ... the guy was great fun!

Anna, I love to watch and listen to you conversation.
She's honest and shares every move she makes. We like that ! :)
the way anna thinks out loud so funny an when she shifted her hip to pass gas so sly
That openning got Anna for sure
Wow, you each let each other setup a large opening position.
The fact that he properly plays and clocks with just one hand, as a pro would be used to doing, sorta gives him away.
The guy was so playing the smarmy git lol - made a good video, thanks Anna.
6:32 ana should take that free knight pin by bishop... Missed win by her
@oz9207

knight is not free if she takes the knight Queen takes f6+ will be same way check mate she took the bishop maybe that was not best follow up for her
Can relate so much at your ending. The queen was supposed to protect the King but you forgot and went on to attack
When she asked how to open up the position I thought he would say "creatively" but be basically said that... But more creatively spoken
Best game. Thank you so much for great video
Her play was magnificent. The blunder is a shame but that was a great watch
Well played, Anna!
Gotta love the old Hungarian opening always works !!
moving that queen because she focused on attack and forgot defense
I don't even play chess- but appreciate + respect the battles here. & the can't judge a book by its cover theme
hi annaaa loved the video
Good job Anna. You would have had that game if you had time to "sit on your hands" like your mother always told you!
It's so nice to see even Anna is making mistakes 😄
Always impressive to see her playing Chess and making Smalltalk the same Time. 💪🏻🇩🇪
Strong. Loved it !
If the guy starts with 1. f3, he's either 250 or 2500
Interesting opening on his side.
I really liked this man. I'd totally watch his content.
I never played a blitz game it is hard to think very quickly and to move very fast. You played a awesome game.
wow that was really fun!
i love this guy
i would be a little bit too much distracted
He stopped talking, started concentrating and won the game. Anna's really good at pulling her opponents into inane conversations to distract and finally beat them. Think of it as a gunfight, concentrate. If you get distracted you're dead.
Nice opening for you all.
Such grace between class players 😊
I m not chess expert but this is my theory on that. Hungarians are turkic origin and all turkic people used fake retreat in battlefields all the time. First weak attack then draw enemy in favorable position to attack enemies flank. Maybe Hungarian Opening made thinking this tactic.
Amazing to see
Anna was low on time, but I think she needed to find the move Qh6 when she blundered her knight and ultimately lost the game
Rook takes knight on H3 would have been interesting as bishop was pinned (@6:33)
You are ideal Chess streamer, wholesome minus nonsense trash talked.👍👍👍👍
I don't have the patient for chess but I did good when I played, but my father... was crazy about chess. He could play two days strait without sleeping with is friend he would love this! Thank you Anna
I get the feeling if you had given that game more concentration, you could have won it! Not so much near the end, as It was already over 12 moves from the last, but as he was making that opening. Of course it might not have been so entertaining, but I really wanted you to beat him!
I haven't watched too many of her games, but that's the first time I've seen her beaten, but I think its was close.
As soon as she moved her Queen to G3, I knew it was over. He's a chill player but a beast
Watch him Anna! He's an undercover Master.
