@@bobnedved1589 Every reviewer I've watched says the 'dual-loop' band is rather uncomfortable. It's nicer as far as face pressure, but the straps on the back and top of the head are higher pressure because they are much narrower than the 'Solo' band. Why it's not just a Solo band + top strap is unknown. Seems like a 'straw-man' in some designers' argument that the Solo band is the better strap.

It is actually tempting to get another knit one and try this hack as it has a nicer material, more surface area, and also has the tightening dial, which is way less annoying than the velcro on the included strap. (In reality, I'll probably just print an adapter for my quest/vive accessories or wait for a vision pro specific 3rd party strap.)

It's not too difficult to get the BoboVR converters to work. All you need to do it take your flush cutters and trim the lower retaining tab so that it only sticks up about half as much. Then take your file and bevel the edges you just produced (you don't want it to cut the AVP's silicon arm). Once you do that, you can just snap the converters into place (taking them off, you just reverse the process). Unfortunately due to the geometry of things, the BoboVR pushes Apple's metal strap receivers into your temples, which isn't particularly comfortable, but it does serve as a proof of concept for the halo idea, and it 100% gets the weight off your face!! So once someone designs a halo specifically for the AVP, all of the pain problems should completely go away.

I think it's a great hardware device, but I'm not in Apple's ecosystem, my last Apple device fell out of support about 10 years ago. Non-Mac/iPhone users are always second-class citizens with Apple's other products. Kinda hoping that the Valve or Google/Samsung projects see the Vision Pro and pick up on some of the ideas.

Changing my comment because I realized the previous comment sounded like the focus was on unfollowing, which isn't productive. My point is, I'm not really interested in the Apple aVision being such a focus even if the idea is to print a part for it. Next the idea is to print a stand and a hook and then it turns into something that doesn't interest me at all anymore. I am here for the purity of the 3D printed content...like I don't care for cosplay either, but I think because that feels more like a passion for so many vs a $3500 device that just sits on my face, I'm not as opposed to seeing 3D printed cosplay items. How this makes more sense and is less volatile (and no I didn't read the comments on my old one, because I knew what I set myself up for).

So... seriously... your revelation is that you recreated the dual loop band that is already included with the Vision Pro by hacking together a couple of solo knit bands by using a 3d print? Ok. a) you just encouraged people to spend more money on an already expensive product just for the sake of incorporating a 3D print and b) it's un-necessary. I don't own the Vision Pro - but this seems like content for the sake of content, and the reason you should cite for your modification should be "because I can" not "because it's necessary" - as your title proclaims - you didn't fix anything - you just fixed it the way you chose to fix it rather than using what Apple already provided you for the same exact purpose.
