Absolutely gorgeous. I got it too, I never get over how gorgeous it is. Sometimes I find myself just looking at it, for the joy it sparks. Very well composed watch, the best Rolex, that Rolex currently offers imo

Lovely piece. I always felt they looked too large on my wrist. 30+ yrs ago I opted for a steel and gold Concord Centurion which I purchased in Berne. I still love it's looks, but I must say it has been pretty finiky to keep running so I wear it infrequently.

Have a Datejust, had it for years, Decades, 1 factory service, works perfectly. Quit wearing it about 5 years ago, always had a phone. Then got a Fitbit. Just a wrist watches maybe like Libraries and pay phones??? But nevertheless, really good looking stuff there. Nicely done good sir👍👍👍😎😎😎 .

Congrats on the new watch Michael. I got the first allocation of the jubillee BLNR from my AD in Chicago. The director of my AD said the same thing that this BLNR will get discontinued very soon( 1-2 years). They using up all the bezels from BLNR oyester. A new model most likely the coke( black and red bezel is in the pipeline for Basel 2020 or 2021.

Congratulations, Batman is beautiful .The jubilee bracelet is super comfortable for hot climates. The Batman is better looking than than the Pepsi on the wrist in my opinion.

Very freaky video. I have also a SD43, waiting the call from the AD for the new Batman (hate the name Batgirl) and have that lamp floor that is visible the base in red from Flos in my living room. Also love the Porsche 911. Scary.

It's a dilemma for me if I want it with the oyster solid end link bracelet or the jubilee. My Submariner has the SEL bracelet so I think I might go with the jubilee. Just a suggestion and both beautiful watches by the way however to protect from scratching underneath surface on the back of the watch case do not lay it down flat against the bracelet (11:45) prop it on it's side crown up will keep the watch in better scratch free shape! Jubilee is a nice change to the oyster, although oyster bracelet is still my favourite. Rolex have improved the jubilee i believe so it does not stretch as much as older versions.

BLNR Batman on jubilee is the way! Makes the watch pop so much more, looks more expensive, shows scratches much less than the oyster pcl and sets it apart from all the other watches on oyster. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Nice vid and congrats. I always disliked the PCLs on the Batman, and the jubilee is indeed dressier more comfortable on wrist. One correction regarding your SD43, the coronet at 6 o’clock indicates that you have the MK2 dial version. The 3235 movement is the same in either the MK1 and MK2 SD43 😉.

I was offered the blnr from my ad and watched this video as part of my decision process and ironically I just picked up the same sd43 in December. So this couldn’t have been a more perfect comparison. Also I’ve been calling it the Bruce Wayne as it’s fancier with the jubilee than the oyster. He was a suit guy out of the cape. I said yes btw

I think the jubilee bracelet is very nice, especially for dressier functions. Do not like the oyster with polished center links. If you don't like the jubilee on for casual wear, go with a nice leather nato from Bulang and Sons or a suede strap. Personally, I think this is a much more wearable watch than the sea dweller, due to it's case thickness. I think a watch with the mass of the sea dweller, should be worn with the rolex bracelet, perhaps reducing it's versatility. I'm of the opinion a watch shouldn't be obtrusive enough to notice your wearing it. Just my two cents.

So which do you like more, the SD43 or the Batman?!

The grey market in the UK is realistically more £14k.. the market has softened and so has the Pepsi a little. Amazing collection for just 2019! Rootbeer or BLNR? On Instagram there is a Rootbeer on a Datejust 41 Two-tone rose gold jubilee... for me that’s the ultimate but would require a Datejust purchase additionally just to acquire that bracelet

Kinda envious, but I want the old model. At the same time it feels wrong to support the gray market, so it might not happen unless they come down in price.

Depends on your relationship with Rolex AD. I waited 3 months.

I got a call from my AD for this model. However when I went in they wanted 3k USD above retail which I know they shouldn't do. Was very annoyed. This happened in Hong Kong. Seems these models are more readily available in the Middle East.

Congratulations Michael, you got the “Batgirl” I still call it that as I have the “Batman” as well, but I prefer the Jubilee bracelet. But I do have the Pepsi now with the blue face in white gold as well as the the other Pepsi models, that is always a good alternative to get yourself Pepsi even with a discount from your AD, as it is in precious metal. The jubelee looks a bit more "daddy" like. Just seems more suited for oyster bracelets. I'm not too a big fan of the big tapering and the high polish links. Thanks for the video !

Plume.. I’m actually in a text conversation right now with the manager of a chain of Rolex boutique’s who is a friend of mine. Asked him about it and his reply was “ of course it’s not official but it’s generally accepted as a new description “ . I’m going to take my single brain cell on down and pick up a SS Pepsi for myself. Adding it to a beautiful collection . One of the ladies in a store he manages wears a Batgirl and refers to it as such. It looked quite stunning on her so I decided my daughter should have one. I’m done with this. If you think Rolex would ever label it a Batgirl , you have the single cell.

This whole business of buying the watch we do not really want in order to stay in the good graces of a Rolex AD has got to stop. You already have a great Rolex watch. Why did you feel you had to kiss the AD”s ass by buying a watch you did not want? This bubble is absolutely nuts. If everybody would just relax and not buy anything for a while, then pre-owned prices would collapse and Rolex ADs would start kissing OUR asses again)

I didn't intend on buying it. I went to look at it no pressure and i loved it. I am no millionaire and my purchases are sensible. I also didn't buy it to stay " in the good graces" of the AD ...but of course 3 Rolex from them since Sept has helped. I really love the watch, I was just trying to be sensible as i also want the Rolex Pepsi. I do agree that the market is nuts and i would not buy from the grey market. In saying that I am willing to pay the slightly higher price to purchase from AD's in the Middle East where i am now living. Cheers
