I don’t hate the watch or even the brand, I just feel indifference. Congrats on the owner for scoring one. I could never play the AD game, it feels kinda wrong to me.

Glad you ended up posting this video. We know you are not refuting whether the Rolexes are great or not. It’s refreshing to hear the honest opinions about how you feel about it. We can all have different perspectives, tastes, etc. That’s why there are many brands to satisfy individual likes and dislikes.

I currently don’t have a lot of interest in buying, owning, or wearing a Rolex watch. Rolex is not for me at this time. That has nothing to do with the quality, fit and/or finish of the timepieces, which I think is excellent and as good, if not better than, anything at their price point and everything below. The brand has a stigma that surrounds it based on excess, hype, judgement, etc. I find that stigma uncomfortable… for me. Maybe someday I’ll be a Rolex owner again, but at this point, I am not “that guy.”

Hey man, first off, I like your videos and appreciate that you're a super positive person. In saying that, it's OK to not like the Batman. You don't have to apologise or feel bad for giving your thoughts on a watch when it's what you're supposed do in your channel. I just feel like you were so worried about hurting people's feelings, and spent so much time apologising, that the video became a bit meandering before it got to why you didn't like the watch as much. Anyway, keep doing what you do and looking forward to your next video. 😊

Great honest video! I always felt the Batman was hard on my eyes too. I’m really not a fan of the 6 digit Rolex with the ceramic…the bezels are just too loud. I still think the aluminum bezel 5 digits are much warmer, better proportioned , more elegant and far more comfortable. I’ve owned both references and flipped the new one a month after purchasing and haven’t looked back.

I think the Rolex GMTs look better in two-tone, especially the Rootbeer. But for dive watches that I’d actually take to the beach, Seiko is the way to go. Great video Sanjay 👍

Rolex bracelets are a big part of their appeal. Not great strap watches because the bracelet end links are integral to the case design..

Keep spreading the word. I want to buy a Pepsi at retail from My AD.

Well said Sanjay. I think many of us can relate to your emotions. In the past I used to love Rolex, but now it is just a very confusing brand. Rolex is disappointing alot of genuine watch collectors and enthusiasts in terms of pricing, their design choices and even sizing. We are not flippers so we don't purchase watches for making a quick buck. We don't care about the hype. We just purchase a watch for the love of it. On the other hand even being a part of Rolex, Tudor as a brand offer so much value and has a much more clearer vision.

LOL - this is a great review. The best reviews are full of subjective honesty, and there's no need to apologize for that. I personally like the watch and the colors, but it's refreshing to hear someone just crap all over it.

In 2014, I had recently bought a Sub Date and Milgauss from my AD. Then a GMT “Day-Night” aka the “Blue-Black” came in. I could have bought it right there. It was meh watch with an oversized bezel font and huge lugs 2:32. Bought a DJ36 instead. The Pepsi was only in white gold back then. That one looks a little better. Especially on jubilee. But if you have a Sub why buy basically the same watch.

Don’t try ‘aligning’ yourself, mate. Your views are just as valid as anybody else’s. Personally I like the Batman, I’ll probably never be able to own one, so it’s all moot to me. P.S. I just took delivery of a Lorier Hyperion with the Miyota 9075 true GMT. For $600 US, it’s 95% of the watch for a twentieth the price. 👍

The rubber B is awful on that piece. My opinion. I wear mine on factory bracelets (have both jubilee and oyster). Just an excellent piece in any environment and the blue and black is excellent in my opinion. You’re just giving your opinion here, no doubt. But it appears your fully into Seikos and your not going to be able to be objective here. It comes out through your review and of course that’s fine. Anyone offended that you don’t like Rolex has other issues for sure, no need for apologies in my view. I’d just say I don’t agree with your take, so the only thing I’d actually criticize is you apologizing for having your own take. No need.

That looks like the older 116710blnr, not the 126710blnr which has a crown between swiss made.

The GMT master 2 is a great watch, versatile, modest and suitable for every occasion/activity. The pepsi, batman are the GMT master 2 but with a Rolex touch that isn't always tasteful. As for the jubilee bracelet, no thank you. If not mistaken, the blue with black combo was established by Versace early 2000. A combo not acceptable before, to my eyes it is acceptable till this day. Love the "cartoon type" and you ain't being negative Sanjay, an honest review worths gold. I am a Rolex fan, not a fan of everything Rolex throw in the market. Not a fan at all. In all honesty, this is one of your reviews that I've enjoyed. Don't be discouraged by biased (if any) viewers, keep it up man and stay safe.

My only issue with it is that it's so thick, otherwise I love it

With pricing and availability out of the question, do you still prefer a Tudor or Omega over the BLRO/BLNR still? I have all mentioned but if I were to keep one, it would most definitely be the Pepsi. Sorry in my honest opinion you are just making yourself feel better as they are very difficult to obtain at retail, and grey prices are still up there. I'm sure if they are the same price as a Omega PO or 300m, you will be all over the Rolex. Love your videos though and been watching for years. Now subscribed!

Hey there, thanks for the kind words. I know it sounds like a case of sour grapes, but yes, I'd choose the Omega over the BLRO/BLNR...(probably not the Tudor BB58) There are other hypes watches that I'd love to own if possible, like the Royal Oak or Moser Green Dragon...The GMT Master II is a really cool watch, but it ieaves me cold. I could see myself getting a 36mm explorer at some point though 🙂

Rather to have that seiko 1000times to rolex and other fancy stuff😅

BLNR owner here. Maybe it's the lighting, but the bezel looks very strange. I believe the BLNR bezel has been very consistent throughout the years (unlike the BLRO one), and I've never seen the blue look quite this garish either on my watch or someone else's. Honestly if my BLNR's blue looked like that all the time I'd hate it too. But IRL it's much more subtle than in this video and blends with the black a lot better. In certain lighting and from a distance it almost looks like one color.

It is probably affected by ambient light. For example, the colour of the bezel on My Seiko SPB053 looks completely different under different ambient light. On a sunny day, it has a deep blue colour but on a foggy or overcast day, it looks almost emerald green. I have never seen anything like that.

That's interesting to hear! Admittedly, I didn't notice the hue of the Batman blue changing, but I only had the watch around the house and in my backyard the past month

i love you like a brother but i also love my retirement watch (the blnr)... don't apologize, if you don't care for it. i feel the same for seikos these days as the movements are janky to say the least. with rolex, you're honestly paying for not only the provenance that comes with the brand but also the technology in their updated movements, 70 hr power reserve, parachrom hairspring, anti-magnetic qualities, etc. with all brands climbing upmarket, it only seems like their pricing is crazy high when only a couple of decades ago you could pick up a 5 digit explorer ii for $3.5k. i understand your perspective and thanks for listening to mine. even if we never agree on this topic, Christ is King and reigns on high! ☺

Not sure why it took me two weeks to comment, but I keep coming back to this review LOL. I know you will strongly disagree, but I have similar feelings towards the Speedmaster. I understand why it's an icon but I didn't feel any of that magic when I owned it. These are all great watches, but maybe not for us individually. And that is a good thing

Have an Omega Seamaster take it to work draws a lot of attention Seiko LX titanium and Mido or Damasko no problems with your attention With the cost of living, I would rather have a watch that doesn't or attention Keep it going great video

I will admit, the GMT is the MOST functional, but man I can’t get over the bezel font. Again, personal taste. I’m a Submariner and Daytona fan. And when it comes to jubilee, DateJust all day.

U don’t have to feel apologetic as we all have different taste and likes.

The 126710BLNR on jubilee is one of the best Rolex’s made. The rootbeer is a close second, but there’s nothing wrong with not being a fan of the GMT. Minority opinions are always fine

Modern 6 digit rolexes arent meant to be on aftermarket rubber. What an abomination of a GMT

The color scheme is unappealing, just look at Baltic's interpretation of the grey/black on their gmt, it's clearly a better use cooler colours. Also, something that is not often noted, glossy/ceramic bezel with a glossy black dial is pretty annoying to look at, there should be some contrast, one should be matte texture for legibility.

Appreciate ur honesty, BUT other than the color not registering in ur mind, what ELSE is making u hate it? Price? U were ok with the Pepsi version, yet can't justify this color combo. Most of the video kept going on about how u can't be enthusiastic about it, lol. I'd say pull the video since it bring no value other than listening to u hate it. We get it, u hate the color, lol

I like the GMT Batman. I don't like it enough to pay more than $5K for one.

I will preface this by saying I am not a big fan of the Batman/Batgirl either but a couple things stand out about your “review.” Putting a SS piece on a rubber strap is nonsensical and mutes the timepiece. The 40mm looks monstrous on your wrist almost cartoonish, so you are probably drawn to 36ish watches. GMTs on a jubilee will blow any other gmt model out of the water on the proper wrist. Thats why Rolex can charge what they charge. They are the standard that every sports watch is compared to.

Is this a click bait video? Batman is a perfect watch blue and black is not a combination used for the first time in human history. If that’s the price that concerns you then just sell if for a profit 😅 non of the other watches on your table has any significance in the world I know they are equally well made but they are just not Rolexes if you know what I mean. Imagine commemorating your kids birth with a seiko watch it sounds even funny. Not the same thing with a Rolex tho😮

I’m with you. I hate the look of GMT master 2, the numerals on the dial is just messy and busy, none of my lady friends like the look. Perhaps, GMT is just a tool, like a hammer or screwdriver. Ugly

Keep collecting. You'll get there someday. In the meantime, be content with those crappy seikos.

Sanjay, lets just take this video down. You do good work and lets just say this isn't your best. We get it! This watch doesn't speak to you. Not every watch speaks to every person. I don't get all the love for the Nautilus. You couldn't pay me to take it. So stick to what you enjoy.
