On my 2008 kia optima I have aluminum clips they look like rivets I used some lubricant with screwdriver to slip the cover off. It was annoying

My 2011 Elantra Touring just blew out the rusted line near the passenger side rear. Looks like every place the lines are in the clips is where the rust is very bad. Lucky for me nobody was in front of me as I approached a yellow light I hit brakes and the pedal went to the floor. I went thru the intersection as it turned red pumping the brakes until I finally stopped. This video helped a lot figuring out how to get the plastic cover off and then those clips are very strange design the way the threaded bolt holds them closed after unlocking the clip. I had to put screwdriver thru the clip next to the bolt area and wiggle them until they finally popped open. I have two Ni-copp tubing rolls so plan to run new lines for both to the rear wheels. How did you get your hand up there to loosen the front flare nuts? I can barely reach them. Did you loosen them from the top or under the car? Thanks!

yes you can from under from the side, as you will have to thread in the new line without cross threading the fitting , to take it off you can cut the line and put a socket over ... the hardest part , being under the car is to pre bend the lines from front to back, also i by passed that rubber protector going up in the front ...

@@dayslife yes the rubber clamp in front I can't get it to open. It has a metal bracket around it. I removed the nut but it doesn't seem to open. I was actually thinking about bypass the junction connections and run the lines directly into the abs unit just above that junction point. Then I can work from the top.

@@houptee not sure if the abs fittings are the same size and flares, could be opening a can of worms. just run your lines straight beside the bracket, you can pass your hand from under the side, not that hard. hopefully your bleeders are not rusted like mine were. good luck.

Hi, great video. The 'little clips' at the 25 second mark. How did you get those out? Your clip looks like it might be a philips head, but my clips have a tiny square hole. Did you pry them out or did you unscrew them and then pry them?

@@dayslife An update. I was wrong. These are philips head holes- it's just an extreme shallow indentation that almost looks square. Thanks, again, for your help.
