    Thank you for your video! My gun (which looks identical to yours) does not sound like it is leaking any air.... but the pin that drives the nails does not retract all the way back to the proper starting position after firing. Do you know if this needs the same fix as you showed on your video? ..... or something else? Thanks again

  • @dayslife
    @dayslifeАй бұрын

    if you can retract the pin by pushing it in manually and able to fire a nail , it might only need some lubrication, if not, remove the piston and verify if any obstruction or some bad seals

    anything thin, strong and long enough should work if you're able to slide and press on the rod , even like a steel coat hanger with a hook will do ... check the part 2 to see how it's made and functions inside ...

  • @dayslife

    it's not the same, there's a shield over the actuator, make sure the door is unlock if you can't do it manually from the inside pulling on the cable you could maybe try pushing down the rod right on top of the rear of the handle

    Hi, great video. The 'little clips' at the 25 second mark. How did you get those out? Your clip looks like it might be a philips head, but my clips have a tiny square hole. Did you pry them out or did you unscrew them and then pry them?

    look at my other video to understand the internal mechanism ... ** door needs to be in the open position ... try and try again !!! you can always lower the window to help you to see what you're doing ... if not, pry the door panel off, it will come off with some persuasion, even if you have to break few clips ...

    My 2011 Elantra Touring just blew out the rusted line near the passenger side rear. Looks like every place the lines are in the clips is where the rust is very bad. Lucky for me nobody was in front of me as I approached a yellow light I hit brakes and the pedal went to the floor. I went thru the intersection as it turned red pumping the brakes until I finally stopped. This video helped a lot figuring out how to get the plastic cover off and then those clips are very strange design the way the threaded bolt holds them closed after unlocking the clip. I had to put screwdriver thru the clip next to the bolt area and wiggle them until they finally popped open. I have two Ni-copp tubing rolls so plan to run new lines for both to the rear wheels. How did you get your hand up there to loosen the front flare nuts? I can barely reach them. Did you loosen them from the top or under the car? Thanks!

  • @dayslife
    @dayslife Жыл бұрын

    yes you can from under from the side, as you will have to thread in the new line without cross threading the fitting , to take it off you can cut the line and put a socket over ... the hardest part , being under the car is to pre bend the lines from front to back, also i by passed that rubber protector going up in the front ...

  • @houptee
    @houptee Жыл бұрын

    @@dayslife yes the rubber clamp in front I can't get it to open. It has a metal bracket around it. I removed the nut but it doesn't seem to open. I was actually thinking about bypass the junction connections and run the lines directly into the abs unit just above that junction point. Then I can work from the top.

  • @dayslife
    @dayslife Жыл бұрын

    @@houptee not sure if the abs fittings are the same size and flares, could be opening a can of worms. just run your lines straight beside the bracket, you can pass your hand from under the side, not that hard. hopefully your bleeders are not rusted like mine were. good luck.

  • @dayslife

    the product is soft to apply but dense and if you heat it too much it will flash to quickly and reduce your working time, and if it skins up before you install the windshield you'll lose the bond strength and might lose it on the high way 🤣, next time i'll just get a better caulking gun ... 😁
