Humility in Weightlifting
God can certainly make you humble when it comes to weightlifting! Had a good laugh and a PR! Culmination of a rack pull workout, as always, Jesus Christ gets all the glory, all my strength comes from God.

lol, glad you enjoyed it 😄
There is a certain threshold at which “lifting” becomes “hoisting.” I don’t know the specific threshold amount and it probably has something to do with the Schwartz/Malone equation, but I guarantee what you are doing is “hoisting.”

Interesting, being a newbie to lifting I've never heard of this formula, thank you, I can tell you that this weight is 1.41x my bodyweight.
awesome pull! How did you fall down in the beginning of the video? 635 lbs a lot of weight. Is this a deadlift?

This is a very low rack pull, the bar was in a divet at the end of the spotter arms and I pulled a little too fast 🤣
Damn bro nice freaking lift

Not a true deadlift. Wouldn't count

Never claimed it to be a deadlift, as stated, it's a rack pull.
good job on the lift, that was very impressive... it's just, was the mentioning of god really necessary? I won't bother you, I just hope you understand how influential you can be to others, especially younger minds with these messages... seeing a strong guy lift an impressive weight and give credits to some deity, that could draw in people... but that might have been your goal, then I'd like to remind you about one famous saying: "thou shalt not take the name of the lord in vain!" and this is clearly out of vanity

I hear what your saying, however, I give all credit to God, God gives me everything in my life, my strength, my mind, my tenacity, my desire to try and live as best I can, my desire to honor my wife and live a good life in fulfillment of whatever purpose he has for me. My faith, it all comes from him. The scripture your referencing is Exodus 20:7, the word vain there is Sawa in ancient Hebrew, which means emptiness or worthlessness in conduct. God knows that I meant what I said, he sees my heart brother, he knows my intent.

@@Flab2Flex -.- urgh... there's no stopping you I see... well, I wish you all the best in your journey of becoming stronger than you already are... and hopefully one day you'll be a lot more critical about religion and god... maybe you'll then see the irony of it and realize how dangerous religion really is

@@OLBICHL Alright you’re taking it too far. Please just leave this man of God alone. If anything you should be happy he is humbled in the eyes of God. Hopefully someday you can find the truth
