I'd almost forgotten that I was one of the winners! If you are happy to pay postage to the UK again, then I am deeply impressed. And of course it's wonderful to receive such a unique item! Thanks.

I think the clock is very cool! I've almost got the puzzle solved, except that I can't name the one remaining category. Hopefully, you'll reveal the solution at some point. (I admit, I had to look up one of the words. I'm sure you can guess which one.)

Cool design on the clock! Question: how big is the clock in inches or feet? Oh, and please explain "4!"

@@MelanieNLee I can do that, as one of the math types around here. The exclamation mark means factorial. 4! = 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24 It might seem like a not very useful mathematical operator, but it shows up surprisingly often.

That clock design is gorgeous!! I like it even better than your first design. I really wish that I were a better Connections player, so that I could proudly display it in my home. However, I applaud all my fellow players who are the recipients. YAY!!! 🏆🎶

Wordle in 4: OCHRE - STAIN - FAULT - VAULT Connections: BLUE - YELLOW - GREEN - PURPLE One of my Nana’s favourite songs was “A White Sport Coat (and a Pink Carnation)” so finding the green connection was easy. (Also, that clock is totally awesome!)

STARE TAINT FAULT VAULT Strands #103 “Take a load off!” 🔵🔵🔵🔵 🟡🔵🔵🔵 I found this easy. The first word I saw was SOFA, so I knew these were things you sit on. Connections Puzzle #369 🟨🟨🟨🟨 Types of written pieces 🟩🟩🟩🟩 Things that are pink (Carnations are not necessarily pink...they also come in white, red, yellow, orange, purple and lavender!) 🟦🟦🟦🟦 NATO phonetic alphabet words 🟪🟪🟪🟪 ? It would have helped to know that Derek Jeter's number was 2, but sports are not my strong suit. "Carnation" was kind of a weak clue since they come in so many colors.

Wordle in 5 OCHRE STAIN GAMUT FAULT VAULT Connections: Much better than yesterday. One mistake (I came at the end of the Nato challenge, so I didn't know HOTEL was one of them), All categories, and got them in order. Happy I got the Purple since I know nothing about sports, let alone Derek Jeter. Strands: Yeah, didn't do great today. Figured out what the theme was pretty quickly, but I just couldn't see the spangram. I kept seeing the word "Sedating". You know like calming, relaxing. That tripped me up. I've also never heard of a Divan before, so that didn't help. No hints, but definitely no points for time or Spangram first. Got it second to last. The Clock looks awesome! Glad you were able to get it to work!

OCHRE SLANT FAULT VAULT Connections was easy for blue/yellow then tough i guessed what purple and green categories were with a couple of mistakes. I have never heard of derek jeter, and erasers in the uk are generally white. I take it they are usually pink in the US? ETA pencils in the UK don't have a numbering system like you apparently also have in US I had assumed that a pencil was a consolation prize rather than there's a number 2 one.

Wordle: OCHRE DAILY PUNTS was the plan. Ditched it afer turn two because I saw the VAuLT/FAULT possibility which would still be a 50-50. OCHRE DAILY FAULT VAULT. --------------------- Strands 103, 10 Failed super hard mode on the last two words. I saw some theme words pretty quick and found the spangram, but I just didn't know either of the last two words. I was trying to split is as CHASE/DIVIAN but it turned out to be CHAISE/DIVAN. Total solve time 3:00. ------------ Connections #369, 9 Perfect base, speed bonus Phonetic Alphabet (1) Academic Writings (1) #2 (1) Things that are Pink (1) Personally, would have gone with POOP instead of DEPUTY. Phonetic alphabet was so obvious, I'm surprise that it was blue

Connections Puzzle #369 🟩🟩🟩🟩pink things 🟨🟨🟨🟨short form written works 🟦🟦🟦🟦words from the NATO Phonetic Alphabet 🟪🟪🟪🟪things that #2 can represent RIOT: 4401. 9/10 Time: 2:56 DIFFICULTY as reported by testers: 3/5 I'm sorry. I know Derek Jeter is a baseball player, but his number is way WAY too obscure for something in Connections. Imagine if they included knowledge that obscure about... Basketball, and Tennis, and Star Wars, and Harry Potter, and Friends, and Sex & the City, and Taylor Swift, and Ultimate Fighting, and a dozen other pop culture areas that you may or may not know ANYTHING about.

Strands #103: “Take a load off!” 🔵🔵🔵🔵 🟡🔵🔵🔵 1:55 I find it boring to look for the spangram first. I would prefer to try to get under 2 minutes or under 1 minutes, rather than try to find the spangram first. To me, that’s a much funner way to challenge yourself.

@@UTU49 I agree. Trying to find the spangram first just slows me down. I can usually figure out what the theme is just by getting a random word or two, like I did today. Seeing the word SOFA first immediately told me that the theme was things you sit on and I found the other words very quickly.

@@doraa.7873 When I wrote that comment, I decided that from now on, I am going to completely abandon the idea of finding the pangram first, in hopes that I will get a bunch more of them in under a minute or 2. I think it's still a good idea to look for the pangram early, because it splits the field in half, which should help you get some of the other entries.
