I had such a hard time not laughing at your video title for yesterday "It's hard to guess words you've never even heard of!" when I knew what was coming today. Now going to sit down and see how well you do when it's even more true! Edit: I'm back and I've now seen your solve! I was having so much fun seeing you try to come up with a set rules that could explain the letters you were seeing, as clearly they couldn't be words! For your last guess you could have entered the green letters you had and just used trial and error and until you found the one word that's accepted, as making an illegal guess doesn't cost you a guess.

I'd been watching Scott do your puzzles and yesterday was my first attempt! I ended up googling words with y as the only vowel and that didn't even get me through. Glad you put the disclaimer at the end. Terrific site and thanks for the fun:)

@@Jindychick Yeah, I knew that there was some portion of players who would get this board as their first one. I did consider doing something to stop that, but it would cause way more confusion if not everyone got the same daily board, especially since some of those new players would have been sent to play specifically for the joke board.

I also managed to get this with 4 guesses left. My son came over when he heard me exclaim "no vowels, what!!!" From there we teamed up to crack it. It was hard but it was fun and very satisfying actually getting it.

This is impressive as hell. Great job!

This was so fun. I didn't even register that it was april fool's day. Was shocked to realize that there were no vowels after my first three words. But I was able to finish it with 2 guesses remaining. And I agree with @furbyfubar as I saw your video yesterday, thinking it was for today, then watched it laughing!

This was tough but fun! I didn't know CWTCH or SKYF, thanks for showing the definitions. I was lucky to have 6 guesses remaining.

Scott if you are wondering, a cwtch is a word coming from welsh meaning hug or cuddle

This is what is feels playing wordle as an unnative English speaker

I started with my usual DOING, RULES and YACHT which not only eliminated vowels and a number of useful combination letters, but also told be there was no Y in the first column. I knew then it was going to be interesting! Last column stymied me for a while (see what I did there) but managed with 4 remaining moves.

I was impressed to see that more than two of these are actually words.

Ruled out all the vowels right away and I got cysts, thymy, and stymy right after. Spent the next few guesses just ruling out letters because cwtch????

Solved it before watching, really interesting to see your approach.

I got it by just brute forcing all possible combinations once I got a few letters filled and realized Y was the only vowel. Took me a while, but I got it with a guess to spare

I think Y don’t count as a vowel but I just count like an extra one

This squardle is extremely hard without cheating (using word lists)

"CWTCH? That could be a word, why not" - this is the one word I was CERTAIN of from before you even said 'CRWTH'. I had a feeling C would be top-left just because 'CY' and 'CW' are such common starts for words without AEIOU (especially from imports from Welsh of course)

Despite how difficult it was I solved it in like 10 mins :D

At about 6 minutes into the video im looking at the top word and thinking "cysts"

I fought this puzzle at 4am UK time, definitely not the relaxing fix for my insomnia that I was expecting!

I didn't get a single word haha. I learned after 4 guesses that there were no vowels, and then I realized the date of the day.

Hey Scott! I challenge you to start your wordle with 25 unique characters leaving you with only 1 guess to guess the word. Use these words: Glent, brick, jumpy, vozhd and waqfs. These words have been tried and tested and they all work - good luck!

Oh the dramatic irony of being the kind of person who looks up words to help out--and has looked up a list of 5 letter words without vowels.

Managed it with 2 guesses remaining. Thankfully I knew some Welsh 😂

Me and friend spent like 45 minutes figuring it out, we got it in the end with both our combined guesses 😭

I did solve it for a win. I went in with no spoilers and holy cwtch was that some B's...

I matched you with 4 guesses left. After finishing it, I wanted to tell you that you should do it but I figured MANY other people would do that for me. This puzzle was crazy but so much fun to solve.

This was my first day doing the squardle, I am now here for help because I am completely stuck.

This gonna be the hardest squardle of all time

I managed to somehow get all but the last column’s word, got the s and y’s but then I gave up because all of the remaining letter combinations I had left weren’t working, somewhat proud of thay

I swear the words are going to be so weird like hymns or nymph without many vowels

On all other days Squardle (in English) uses the same list of possible answers as Wordle does, so any word you see as an answer in Squardle will show up in Wordle one day if it hasn't already.

I tried the Word 'Prank' first in All the Wordle games today. I was so expecting Wordle be prank today

Unironically this was easy because it's difficult to guess different words if you get me
