That grey-tone color wheel example really made an impression to me on just how Blend If works, and the rest of the examples just made more concrete the kinds of things it can be used on. Fabulous!

I took Photoshop lessons in graphic design school starting in 2000, but I haven't kept up with all the new stuff. I've still been doing thing the old way. I can't get enough of your tutorials. I never knew the power of Blend If.

Thanks for sharing, I've learn a whole lot by watching different tutorials you've posted in. Your way of teaching is clearer and understandable compared to some I've watched who talk too fast that I need to rewind back to be able to catch up.

Thank you so much for one of simplest and best explanations of this "tool" that I have seen! In the last example of the sky replacement, if you liked the clouds but not the color of the sky could you have used the "Underlying" layer options to let just the clouds show through? Thanks again for sharing your expertise!

It has taken me a long time to understand Blend If. I have watch several tutorials and have experimented on several images. This was probably the best explanation I have came across. Additionally, your examples were the most practical particularly your sky replacement. I have a spent countless hours masking on projects. Now I wonder how many could have been resolved my moving a couple of sliders. Outstanding video. Great instruction. Thank you!

Wow. I’ve been on KZread for a while now as a beginner to photoshop, and this is by far the best way to swap out Sky I’ve seen. The rest are so over complicated. Thank you.

I am almost a beginner in Photoshoop, but still can't understand as to why such a tutorial can have even one dislike. The simple explanation shows how much clear he is in his mind, and how very hard he must have worked with a focussed mind. My deep respects for the lucid explanation, on this elusive topic.

I've watched many BlendIf videos without getting any improvement in my comprehension. Your video steps us through the fundamental principles by starting with simple examples. If you hadn't done first the monochrome, then using the color wheel to explain how the BlendIf hides the complementary R, G, or B, I might still have not gotten it. But as the video went on, I tried to guess what the effect would be before you said it, to test whether I was understanding the principle. The *pace* was perfect! Yay! I will rewatch, as well as try the tool on some of my composites. That "replace sky" example was the BOMB! Thank you!!!

One of the best Blend If explanations i have seen...wonderful. And it so SO refreshing to find great Photoshop tutorials WITHOUT the persons face in a square area blocking the Photoshop :) Thank you. Subscribed.
