Finally...after fiddling around with Blend-if, and watching numerous You-Tube explanations, I think that now I understand it. And here's the evidence...I can now explain it to someone else and not feel like I'm making it up as I go along. Thanks

Great tutorial. Even after watching tutorials on the subject, I had been struggling with understanding exactly what the two sliders in "blend if" do. Without that understanding, I could not actually use the tool. Namanja's tutorial gave me the intuitive understanding I needed.

Terrific tutorial. Many have covered the luminosity end of blend if, although rarely as concisely as you have, but few if any have even mentioned the color capabilities. Blend if luminosity is really very intuitive, for Photoshop, but color is intuitive only if it’s been pointed out to you that the black end represents the opposite color. Thank you for making the obvious - obvious!
