    LOL, TK you are a bloody legend, mate! I can only imagine how dangerous you would be with some proper tools, haha. I watched all of your E300 upgrade videos at least twice and it inspired me to do the same. So I'm now upgrading to a 1000watt hub motor with dual disc brakes. Thanks for the entertainment above and beyond most scooter videos!

    I had to re visit this vid. My upgrades are slowly progressing as the parts come in. I decided to use the X tech hydraulic cable pull brakes that everyone uses on the other scooters out there. It’s going to be a tight fit. Especially on the front. I have to mod the wheel hub to get it to work and custom make a bracket to get the calliper on the fork. Using a 1500w brainstorm speed controller. It takes up the whole battery/electronics tray. Batteries are going to have to find a new home hahah. I am tweaking setting on the controller to get the 6384 BL out runner to work well. It works just not super smooth. Custom mount for that needed too. I opened up a can of worms on this build. But it is enjoyable to see what I can manage! Lol should be sweet when it’s done.

    LOL :) Great series! I just binge watched it, so this upload came at a great time. It was good to watch you getting stuck into the motor controller guts. I wonder at what stage the original motor got fried. (It could have been back when you bypassed the relay, after getting the new lipo pack; if the motor's windings had begun to short out, the increased current would have popped the original MOSFET for sure.) My mate sold me his spare scooter (Viron 36v) recently so I could get involved and help him upgrade the electrics. Our first step will be a lead acid to lithium battery upgrade. I'm probably going to build my pretty expensive (40+ lipo cells). Anywho, thanks for the uploads, and hi from the UK.

    Overall pretty good video. Looks like you might need to brush up on your drill bit study. I've been there, where you really need to drill a hole and then the bit snaps. McMaster-carr has lots of bits. Then there's you trying to use a Dremel abrasive cut off wheel on hardened steel.. that was pretty funny. Looks like your project came out pretty well overall. (+1)

    Hi Mate, first off great electric scooter videos I have just spend the last 2 hours watching all of them. I have a electric longboard that has a dead bms no big problem got a new one done. The speed controller talks to the bms using serial and tells it to limit amps (making it slower or faster). I would love you to have a look at the pcb and see if you can figure out how to just run it full maximum amps all the time, I don't care about the options for being able to switch speed (amps) modes via the remote.You seem more than clever enough to figure this out. Thanks in advance

  • @WhatUpTKHere

    @WhatUpTKHere

    Thanks for watching! Sounds a little tricky if it’s using serial communication. You could try and fool it by fattening up the current shunt to throw the readings off, but it’s not an exact science.

    It doesn’t take much for it to make noise, so it might be worth adjusting it back and forth to see if it improves any. Other causes may be that the bearings in the motor or rear wheel are shagged.
