    I just finished this e200 that I found on the curb. I put a 350w hub motor on the front and omg its quiet and torquey. I'm running a 1000w LSD149 controller. I hit 21mph on it yesterday with 1 single hoverboard battery at an 80% charge. I'm going home today to try two Batts and see what it gets me. These scooters are a blasttttt

    Thank you for breaking thing down... I’ll reach out soon enough once I start my mods. I just recently purchased an E300 and stock motor and battery is crap. This has been keeping me up for days since I want to make sure that I get the right parts for the mods. Plan on using this as a daily commuter so I’m lookin more for a good ave rage speed, reliability of parts and battery power.

    Tim you know I love putting more amps into my motor then it likes! ;) great video! For the battery recommendation I can say that finding a reputable company who uses Samsung 18650s in their packs would be good. They’re searchable by their configuration such as 10s3p meaning 10S (10 cells in series to make 36v) 3P (3 parallel for capacity in AmpHours). These have BMS integrated and PVC wrap just as the hoverboard batteries. Charger cooling is a great idea. Keep up the great videos!

    Kevin Affoon I would recommend the 500w motor Tim talks about in his video. The 36v set up is very capable with this motor and fits very good with the power output. When I drive long times at reasonable speed (15-20mph) I can get very good range and don’t have overheating motor issues. I am a little crazier of a setup than Tim’s here (big battery 48v and 1kw controller) but the same motor and also I got the e325s haha highly recommend!!!

    Hi mate most of your links are down but I was wondering where you get your batteries from. Also I need a 500w motor as I am I big bloke and the stock 250w is useless but maybe the battery is dead on my £20 Razor e300. I was going to go for a twist throttle and upgraded battery controller... Is there any need for the controller when over volting to 36v..... Seriously new at batteries and electronics I haven't got a scooby doo... Cheers

    If I want to keep the system 24v LifeP04 batteries with 2 x12v. How many amps is the 24v motor 250w versus 350w 24v for non hill climbing. I will puts 44 teeth rear sprockets and 11 teeth motor. I’m concerned about range/battery capacity and top speed. Torque is not an issue unless it’s stop and go at intersections in the sidewalk. Does gear changing affect the amps or is it the motor change?

  • @TheCaffeineRacer

    @TheCaffeineRacer

    2 жыл бұрын

    The key is to get the gearing to a point were there is good torque to pull you and handle terrain. But not too much that your top speed is badly effected. I have never changed my gearing. I weigh 74kg. Remember you are asking the motor and to do things it's no designed for. What's the serial number for the motor you have. Will find the a page

    Thanks for all of the info. For the 500W 24v motor that you ended up with, why not get the 36v 500W config so that you are not over-volting? Is it because it does not natively fit in the E300? I picked up an e300 with no motor or control board and the higher torque for hills seems like a better choice than the higher RPMs for speed.

Are the any other plugs that I need to upgrade. The kit comes with a key and display but the wiring colours don't match up. Could you supply me with a diagram so can ensure that nothing goes wrong. u need to know the max amps for your motor then how many batteries you are running and what amperage they are. the size of the controller wont matter to the motor. just means ur esc can handle upto 500w ur motor will only draw max 300w so no issue there.

    Nope parralel circuit will give up 36v with 3x the capacity. A series contion would give u 72v and would fry your 24v motor instantly.
