    How do you keep your traps from dipping in (like a shoulder shrug) when performing the dip? Because I struggle with this when repping it out at a slower pace and that causes pain in the traps and along the side of the neck and a chest muscle right by the collar bone.

    Consistancy

  • @TappBrothers

    @TappBrothers

    3 жыл бұрын

    I think it's a mixture of factors. Consistency as chav0machine, is one, we've dropped on occasion throughout the past few years for a few weeks at a time. Even more important, I think, branding, focus of content. We've had thumbnails, style of videos, content focus change quite a bit over the years. Maybe not drastic changes but we could have been more congruent and focused. Also algorithms change with KZread and talking with other older channels, this can have an effect as well. However, I think, the first points I shared are the main reason. We look to improve on this for the channel 💪👍

    I swear. Back in 2016 when I just started Parkour, Tapp bros were the most trending till around 2018. I think its because they branched out from parkour to fitness which is a broader niche. Since fitness has lots of videos on the same topic its hard to get the views. I already love you guys since back then ❤😎 (and no its not because I'm also a twin). I hope to see more content, bros 💪 Stanley from Nigeria 🇳🇬✌

  • @TappBrothers

    I feel you on this, injuries are a part of the game, especially when we are pushing our limits. It sucks but it's not all so bad. It's a time to reflect and strategize for future training when we return. So take your rehab and healing time serious. Eat, drink, and sleep well, avoid toxins and consume nutrients. Once you are cleared for rehab, start rebuilding the strength and flexibility asap with your wrists. And gradually introduce more difficult training with your wrists. And the best part about this time is it's a time to focus your training on other areas. I suffered a severe ankle dislocation, in a cast for a while. I spent this time planning my future training in notes, meditating on my healing and movements (imagining using the ankle that was injured), and focusing my training with upper body strength and flexibility. I trained the other areas I could. You can't use your wrists right now but I'm assuming, you can train your legs and get much stronger/athletic in other areas. It's an opportunity to take these other areas to the next level. An example with parkour, a friend of mine lost the ability to use his wrists, due to injuries. So no climbing, pull ups, push ups, etc. Months later, he became on of the best athletes at precision jumps and balance. He took that time and put all his effort into mastering the jump and precision. It was inspiring to see but also an example of fortitude. So rest well on the wrists and keep moving Alex, you got this 👍💪

    It's a bit different because you can place your palms flat on the counter and lean on your hands like that. I think this variation is a bit harder, it might put extra pressure on your wrists.

    I'ma disagree with the tricep dip alternative, on grounds that you keep your core solid and legs fully extended out, not bent. You dont get as much extension/movement/ range of motion- not as effective, but with proper form its better than nothing.
