I wish I had started investing when I was younger too!! I didn’t know where to start and was so intimidated. Having a cash cushion is soo critical I totally agree, things always come up. Incredible video, you broke everything down so well!! 🔥

Greetings silvia, that was solid information. I'm interested in what you, as a CFP, can share about bonds. Books consistently advise the need for bonds in a portfolio; however, it's been emotionally challenging investing in bonds, when stocks have a greater return. If you present on this topic, please include a scenario for a person ten years from retiring from full time employment. Here's to a good Christmas and better year!

Great suggestion Michael! I completely understand how you feel especially being 10 years from retirement where most books recommend investing in bonds. Many of those books were written when bonds had higher interest rates (3-4%) and you could actually get income from them and not lose your purchasing power. Today, this has completely changed and many clients close to retirement age have been forced to take greater risk in order to meet their financial goals and make sure they don't run out of money during their retirement. This is a great topic idea that I will do a video on.

Yes, that’s a good point. There are contradictions between books and investing podcast when they discuss bonds. Thank you for your time and for pointing that out to me. Happy New Year!

I honestly wish I had started investing earlier. But its always going to be that feeling of missing out. No one can see the future, I love your investing strategy of not going all in but going in a little at a time. Do you prefer DCA or jumping into the market when theres a dip? amazing video Silvia :)

Thank you so much ladies!! I just checked out your channel and subscribed since it seems amazing!! Love your content and can’t wait to watch!! I actually started investing pretty aggressively after the covid correction. It took me about a month though to invest all of the cash but I feel like it was way to aggressive than a dip! What about you guys!!? Xoxox

Silvia, an excellent video. I like listening to CFAs as they are not like most of the recent snake oil folks on KZread. You should reach out to Let's Talk Money! with Joseph Hogue, CFA for a collab. Thanks and keep up the great content.
