    I really love this video! I really think more women should go into financial planning! It’s a great career- good clients, good coworkers, good work life balance, and you can make a big impact by providing financial literacy. It’s sad that in the financial planning classes I teach at ASU, only about 15% are women. 😢

As more “real” universities are now opening financial planing concentration, you might consider passing on your knowledge and experience to the next generation of planners!

    Hello ladies...let's do some math. According to Manent Capital regulatory filing, Ms Manent is managing $2,195,632 for 14 lucky clients. That's an average of $156,831 per client of which she charges them $7,500 for the privilege. Basic math show we end up at a 4.78% AUM fee for these poor clients. This is why the average investor under-performs the market by 3-5 % long term. They are donating their money to the people who work in the financial services industry. I don't know how they sleep at nights unless they are not smart enough to figure out what's really going on; i.e. the fleecing of the American investor. It truly disgusts me how Financial Advisors prey on the uninformed and unsuspecting. Run from these people, especially the young attractive women as they play on your emotions for easy sales. This is what you should be teaching in your financial planning classes.

    @@SilviaManentFinancialAdvisor Silvia a lovely miss universe with big brain. you are too beautiful!! whomever see you shall believe that God is real and whenever I see you I am always in a dream and when we wake up we all will realize that all this life was nothing but a dream and that only God is whats true and real. I dont know how can atheists believe that such a very sexy very attractive beauty queen like you came from monkeys hahaha 😄 There was a teacher whom didn't believe in the existence of God, He said to his students do you see God?, the students replied no we don't see God, so the teacher said if you don't see God it means there is no God, then a smart student stood up and said to the other students hey guys do you see the teachers brain?, then the students replied no we don't see the teachers brain, the student then said then the teacher is crazy he got no brain :0) one God for all of us, all the universe shows unity with diversity, there are different things different creatures and different materials but are all made of particles and atoms Even if we will assume that there will not be an atom left of you/us after death, you still have proven as a created being that there is a Creator,you proved the existence of God even if you do not believe in God. God initiated everything, and he redo too, and it is evident. this life is temporary while the next is forever eternal either in paradise or burning in Hell fire good qualities are beneficial, and bad qualities are harmful Be good dont be bad and refrain from sins and obey God and worship him alone in the way he wants to be worshiped and you will be saved from Hell fire and will enter paradise and be happy forever Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it, or may not see it if God pardons him/her and has mercy on him/her that's if he/she try's to fix what he/she has spoiled, in the right time, When you give charity God protects you and blesses you with more good things in life or the hereafter. A teaching from the prophet Mohammed may peace and blessings of God be upon his pure great soul and upon his great honorable progeny. When you be bad to others you will hurt your own self too, likewise when you don't do what you should in the right time. Having faith in God makes you stronger and makes you have hope even when things become very difficult for you and even when you are weak. Also: Drinking alcoholic beverages damages the liver and the mind. Adultery is not good, because it is not true love it is neglect to the lady and to the fetus, and brings sexual diseases, while marriage on the other hand, ok there is sex in marriage too and thats not a bad thing, its actually good, &is for the continuation of human race, & even for the here after its good for you because if you get children the good deeds of your children are counted as good deeds for both them and you, so they are a continuation of your own good deeds after you die and cant do good deeds any more, they are a continuation of you, & sex is to enjoy too, there is sex in marriage but marriage unlike adulatory it has love in it, it is a relationship in which the woman and the fetus are cared for, & even if they don't want to continue in a long lasting relationship they would at least be agreeing regarding the baby that the baby should be cared for, especially the guy he is responsible for the child to provide for him/her and to make sure the child becomes a good human being. Sodomy-same sex marriage-its bad and not part of normal human nature and life &it brings many sexual diseases. Eating pork can bring cholesterol &some parasitic worms. Not cheating, gaining trust by being a trust worthy honest person, & having good behavior, can help bring more money to you, and is good for you in the next life too. These are some of the teachings of the prophet Mohammed Prophet Mohammed may peace and blessing be upon him and upon his successor imam Ali and his God fearing God loving progeny taught every good, & taught people to respect & love & care for each other, & for the female, & elder, & children, & to protect the innocent person regardless of what he/she believed in, (If one of the polytheists seeks protection from you, then grant him protection) Holly Quran, & taught to either forgive the one who wronged you, or be just & fair when retaliating, or to shock the person and enslave his/her heart by being generous &kind. & taught to not waste money and resources and not to harm the environment, and to try to have a good hygiene and to try to look good and to try to smell good and to take good care of your own self, and to enjoy what God didn't forbid, so to be grateful to God, and protect your self and others from harm, and to defend the religion the final religion which God will accept and will accept no other than it anymore. & regarding the topic: Who to follow after the prophet!?, who are the extension of him and his light, well, try to find out by your self, however, in summery, to give you a hint: Even if you may think that all the companions of the Messenger were always good and all of them are like mountains, despite everything that happened between them!!! the Prophet said: “My family-daughter Fatima the lady of light the lady of heaven and Imam Ali and their great offspring's and special perfect chosen descendants-are like the ark-/ship-of Noah, whomever embarked on it survived, and whomever did not drowned and perished-/died-. &We know that the son of Noah did not embark on the ark/ship of salvation, rather he climbed a mountain and drowned due to the very high tides and because he didn't follow God command. Don't be like him spread the light teach what's good &right its best for you and for all and better than letting the wrong things from wrong teachings or bad desires and ill mind happen, prevention is better than cure ,

    Great vid, I’m forwarding it to my son in finance school. He is a senior this year. Trying to fig a direction after school. He is getting a wealth management degree with his finance degree. So the question is what’s best? CFP only, CFP and CFA or MBA. As parents we thought MBA but he wants a CFA, CFP is easier but you have to have 6,000 hours of work experience. Then there is the MBA but he tells us MBA’s are only good at Ivy League schools? I’m not sure if I believe that. Also CFA is very hard to get. I do like the independent Financial advisory firm as you have starter. We have our own business. So I’m a big believer in entrepreneurship. But it’s not for all people. It’s not a 9-5 job. But if you like a 9-5 that’s ok. So basically what do like best CFP, CFA or MBA? Thanks

    Hi Silvia, I recently got a job as a financial advisor, fresh out of college and am currently almost done studying for the Series 65 exam. I wanted to ask you about the kind of returns you make for your clients on an annual basis. From what I've read, it is a fact that the vast majority of financial advisors and investment companies return less than index funds and other index-linked securities after collecting management fees. This made me feel a little bit useless as someone who will soon be starting a new job in finance, and I want to be able to help my clients, not scam them out of their money. I realize that investing isn't the only service a financial advisor provides--there is retirement planning, education planning, insurance, and accounting for changes in client time horizons, needs for liquidity and so forth. However, I also want to be able to provide superior returns. Is this something you struggled with as a new advisor as well, and what would you say is the key to being a great financial advisor that clients want to stick with for the long haul?

  • @Bloodyjdc

    @Bloodyjdc

    Жыл бұрын

    As an advisor your goal is to help the client reach their goals. Typically that means reducing their risk in order to reach that goal. In my opinion, the reason most advisors don't get better returns is for two reasons 1. because they are not good at their job 2. (which is the more important reason) because they are planning for THEIR CLIENTS goals. Many people don't dream big, so they don't need to take big risks. If a client is 30 years old and they tell you their goals are: 1. I want to retire when i am 65 2. I want to retire with $50,000 per year in todays dollars 3. I want to pay off my house which has a loan balance of $300,000 As an advisor you have to plan around those goals. SO your goal as the advisor is not to make the client as much money as possible. You goal is to help the client reach those 3 goals in the lowest risk method possible. For someone with those goals, even though they are young, you might have them heavily invested in bonds. Especially if they tell you they plan to save $2,000 per month which is much higher than they would need. With all that said, the job of an advisor/planner is to help the client reach their goals that THEY SET! It's not to bring them the highest returns. Also, many people don't have any desire to learn how to invest themselves, so if they make 1% less return on their money, not having to think about it is potentially worth it. I've also been thinking a lot about the question you've asked, I am currently working toward my CFP and was thinking about the ethics of getting clients lower returns than the market, but once I realized my job is to help them reach their goals with as low of risk as possible it made much more sense and helped me realize that I am acting very ethically. If you believe your client is aiming too low, or if they could have better returns and increase their lifestyle. Or if you believe they can retire earlier by having a slightly riskier portfolio you can let them know and see if they want to change their goals. The bottom line is that the only comparison you should make as an advisor is if your strategy is helping them toward their goal. The returns that other people make are not relevant because that person doesn't have their goals.

I think being able to help people who are financially lost adds meaning to my work as a financial advisor, which is why I was initially a bit demotivated with the information I learned. Over the past few weeks, I did learn much of what you mentioned here--people don't care as much about the extra 1%. They much prefer the security of working with a financial professional who knows what they are doing when it comes to their financial future, and that peace of mind is worth a lot. Thank you for the comment, and good luck on your CFP!

And beautiful words from the Prophet Muhammad or Imam Ali, peace be upon them both: ((If you learn a craft, you are safe from poverty)) 🌷❤ Important and beautiful words..for reflection and contemplation: Even if we suppose that the Companions, i.e. the people who saw the Prophet, were all mountains, despite the conflict that occurred between them, it remains that the Prophet said ((The parable of the people of my household among you is like the parable of Noah's ark. Whoever boards it is saved, and whoever lags behind drowns and perishes)) And Noah's son went to a mountain and left the ark, and Noah's son drowned. We must not give up adhering to those who are perfect from the family of the Prophet. but also we should not consider them as gods, and at the same time we should never underestimate them, and we should not think that others are equal to them, the best thing is the middle way....

    Word of advice: stay away from CFA/CFPs that are not fiduciaries. Otherwise, they have no obligation to do what is best for you/client. If they get a commission for XYZ equity/annuity/etc they will buy it even if it isn't in the client's best interest. A lot of them have noble ideas when they start in the industry about doing right by the client, but this soon changes as they see the paths of increasing their own income/wealth.

    Bloomberg is your best source for aggregate data but I also read directly from Brian Wesbury at First Trust, Morgan Stanley research and I try to get the data from the original source such as the Federal Reserve, etc. CNBC is great but you should view it as ENTERTAINMENT not news. 😂

    😍😍 WoW!!! you are a lovely butterfly and a beautiful rose you are the diamond and the pure gold you are the lovely moon in our nights you are the radiant sun shining soo bright loving you is sooo sweet its the most enjoyable thing for you are the paradise for the heart and soul and mind Everything about you is sooo unique and attracts the eyes and captivates the mind God surely perfected you so glorified is he whom made you too beautiful and made you soo smart This is from Artificial intelligence, chat Gpt: Prophecies in Major World Religious Books Referring to Prophet Mohammed: 1. The Bible - Deuteronomy 18:18-19, John 14:16, John 16:7-14, Isaiah 42:1-13 2. The Hindu Scriptures - Bhavishya Purana, Atharvaveda Book 20 Hymn 127-129 3. The Buddhist Scriptures - Cakkavatti-Sihanada Sutta, Anguttara Nikaya III:61, Digha Nikaya III:76-77 4. The Zoroastrian Scriptures - Zand-i Vohuman Yasht, Farvardin Yasht, Dadestan-i Denig & Regarding the verses in the Quran asking to protect non-believers or polytheists, there are several that emphasize the importance of treating all people with respect and kindness, regardless of their religious beliefs. One such verse is found in Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:8), which states: "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." Also In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful (If any of the polytheists seek protection from you, grant him protection) بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم(إن استجارك أحد من المشركين فأجره) Another verse in Surah Al-Anfal (8:61) encourages Muslims to make peace with their enemies, even if they are non-believers or polytheists: "And if they incline to peace, then incline to it also and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing." & Regarding the verses in the Quran asking for justice and kindness, there are many such verses throughout the holy book. One example is found in Surah An-Nahl (16:90), which states: "Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded." & In terms of prophecies about Prophet Mohammed in major world religions, there are a few examples that some scholars have pointed to. One such example is found in the Bible's Book of Deuteronomy (18:18), which states: "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him." Some Muslims interpret this verse as a prophecy about Prophet Mohammed. Because the Arabs are the brethren's of Israelites, The Arabs are descendants from Ishmael or Ismail the brother of Isaac the father of Israelites, and because the verse didn't say from amongst them or from their descendants, it said from their brethren's. Similarly, some scholars point to a passage in the Bhavishya Purana, an ancient Hindu text, as a prophecy about Prophet Mohammed. The passage describes a "holy man" who will come from Arabia and spread a new religion, and some argue that this refers to Mohammed and the spread of Islam.. ❤🌷 Beautiful words, worth reposting, from time to time: We did not see God, but with the mind/commonsense we came to know Him - we knew Him in the sense that the evidence indicated His existence, so we became certain of His existence -, and even the ones who deny his existence are a proof of His existence. also, from the Creator’s patience with those who disbelieve in Him and disobey Him, we see his forbearance, and His generosity towards even those who don't believe in him and disobey him, Glory be to Him. ❤ Beautiful words: It is said that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, said, for teaching us positive open mindedness ((wisdom-/truth/knowledge/all that is good and true- It is what the believer is looking for, wherever he finds it, he shall take it)), and ((Seek knowledge even in China)) even though China was not a Muslim country, and the words of Al-Shafi’i My opinion/doctrine It is correct, but it may bear some errors, and the opinion / doctrine of others is more likely to be wrong, but it may be right sometimes. & beautiful words are the words of the Qur’an that should be understood and applied: (And no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another) meaning don't generalize don't judge a person and take revenge from him even though he did not do anything, just because you want to take revenge from one of that other person relatives whom did a very bad horrible thing, or because of a number of people from that other person tribe for example who done a bad thing, or you try to take revenge from innocent people who got the same religion or sect or ethnic background, and this is nice teaching too from the Quran (If any of the polytheists seek your protection, then protect him). 🌷 A beautiful prayer: Oh God, stop us from your forbidden deeds ❤🌷 Oh God, forgive us for all our past sins and shortcomings, and prevent us from that for the rest of our lives.
