It is up to you to work in synergy with local supply and demand. But you'll never know unless you start with your basic business model and open business.

You can't start a business without investing money. At least you have to spend money for internet connection.

4 years ago and I had just started with my co-founder and very hopeful. I watched this video back then and I set this as the goal of my life to "be in the business". Now operating in 3 countries with more than 15 people working for us, I can say this method absolutely works. Trust him!

I started working for me, at the age of 15. I won't deny it, people often told me I'm just a little kid, and don't know what I'm doing. So I only sold my services to those who trusted my skill. There were enough of those, that when I was 17, I had enough experience to offer my services to businesses, and then gained massive experience, with all the small businesses and offices around the city, that had a bunch of computers each. I also began designing fliers for small business people, and gor business there. Basically, I had no money, only knowledge, and I marketed it, and built up, from the very bottom. So I know it's possible.

The internet has made it possible for anyone to learn a whole assortment of fields. I, have personally mentored individuals, in fields I knew nothing about, and left them making a sustainable income, and even expanded that a few months later. From what I've thus far seen, on the many websites where I often comment, the problem isn't a lack of opportunity, but rather, that people don't know about said opportunities. The information presented in the video is equally applicable to all business ventures not just online business ....The comment was regarding the topic of the video which was chosen by the uploader / video creator himself and did not minify the value of its content .Of course no business can start without money but there are ways to engage other people to help you in that endeavor if you have limited funds. I believed the video would be on the topic of raising capital for your new business , which was not the case but as I mentioned earlier the information is still very helpful for all .

To all you young entrepreneurs out there - Good Luck ! You only need to get lucky once. Try to avoid partnerships at all cost. Have employees or sub contract as a better way to go. Use leverage to your advantage. Remember that you make money when you buy not when you sell (i.e. the profit is in the mark up) Try to find a way to take a little money off a lot of people - and preferably repeat order. Be careful who you ask advice from - the world is full of losers whose glass will always be half empty. There are many ingredients to being successful - hard work, thinking big, accepting risk are the most important. Focus and aim for perfection in your product or service - the money will come all by itself. When you've made it - help others.

The point here is being in business is a journey. You will have to evaluate your product / service. And make changes an improvement as you go

Starting somewhere is the most important. Start selling ice cream, or even better building websites. Use that money to fund bigger ideas, and get tons of inspiration and knowledge by simply being in business. Build a network, work hard!

I don't know why people keep insisting you can start a business with no money. That is not true. Every business has startup costs. You cannot circumvent that. If someone really wants to help people, let's focus on the ways to raise capital instead of claiming we don't need capital.

There are costs for both an online business and the tools that get you there. 1. Hosting Fees 2. SSL Certificate 3. TRUSTe or other trust seals like BBB 4. Templates for the store + customization 5. Legal Fees 6. Accounting setup 7. Establishing a business bank account We would probably suggest around $1000 USD worst case scenario. You can either drop-ship items from wholesalers, make your own wares or sell services.

Every one of these entrepreneur pep talk preachers are not true entrepreneurs. I am gonna call it. None of these guys moved out of mom and dads house empty handed. They all have access to resources you do not. Real entrepreneurs are born from necessity, ingenuity, poverty, etc. These rich kids just did not want to get poor boy jobs. It's no thing for them to get several thousand dollars together. People from the upper classes will have a completely different experience with entrepreneurship. When rich people engage in entrepreneur they are venture capitalists.

Thanks for this video. As a screenplay writer, who was sick of producers destroying my movie scripts, I have now gone out and found that not only can I film my own material with readily available equipment (I always thought I had to have the most expensive items that were beyond my resources), I have also found several tools that allow me to edit the footage, add special effects and distribute the film once it's done. Things that I never realized I could do, and this was what was holding me back for years. You are quite right - just getting started and learning and adapting as you go, is the key to business.

Last year when I watched this video I got annoyed with the opening line about getting into business. This year I decided to start my business and boy I am glad I watched this again. Thank You so much!

Business advice for many entrepreneurs, is never start a business with a loan. I had start a sneaker business selling accessories and sneakers since the market was booming. That loan helped me boost at the beginning, but at the end you'll tend to be more worry about the loan than your business. Since most of us at the beginning aren't sure enough if it will work, so you'll end up in debt. I've decided to move on and try something new in the cellphone repair industry. Taking this man advice to start.

Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out setting up a cleaning company try Magonsi Business Clean Expert (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my neighbor got amazing success with it.

***** Before I get into this with you, I just want you to know I seriously contemplated banging my head against the wall, since it would be quicker to get my point across to the wall. Instead, I realized the wall never did anything wrong to me. So here we go: Lets start with definition of racketeering "Racketeering refers to criminal activity that is performed to benefit an organization such as a crime syndicate. Examples of racketeering activity include extortion, money laundering, loan sharking, obstruction of justice and bribery." If that alone doesn't convince you that it is illegal, there is little hope for you. Lastly if you are still too stupid to realize that it is illegal. RICO act (Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations Act) and CORA act (Corrupt Organization and Racketeering Activity act) make it illegal. These two acts have a lot more credibility than you both in court and in determining if racketeering is illegal. To answer your other question, no sir, I am not stupid. In fact very very far from it. If this was an attempt to troll me, than you've succeeded in wasting about 1 minute of my time typing this. In that case, kudos you succeeded.

+Jarrod Williams You don't. At the very least you need to buy the domain name for your website. Then you have to register your business legally, so you can make money without the IRS coming knocking at your door. That can cost a bit more money. After that, you have to pay your accountant every month. So yeah... The only way to start without no money, well... is to have no money and to ask a friend or your mom to lend the money to you and then start. But still, don't get discouraged. It's easier to start than you thought. And it's always better to pay the money than to try and do it for free. Trust me.

Thanks. What really stood out for me was your honesty about no knowing things or never even heard of this or that. As a small business owner one is often pushed in a corner as all and everyone believe that you know it all. That are an accountant and a salesperson and a technical expert etc.

I needed to hear this today. I am a home decor wood crafter, and sales have been terrible. I have a bunch of nearly finished product, and I want to start selling at farmers markets - but I am terrified. Fear of rejection, failure, no sales, all sorts of fears. This message in this video helped to put things into perspective. Thank you so much!

This video could have been 30 seconds long: "Start. Keep going. If you don't do those two things, you won't achieve anything. Adapt. If something isn't working, then adapt to something better. Keep adapting until you have a healthy business model." That was what... 15 seconds?

There is a HUGE circle logic in all this business advice on internet. 1. follow your passion, focus. That is the only way to succeed. 2. don't follow your passion, because world is diverse. that is the only way to succeed.

Very motivating man. I had my online web hosting company running about 2-3 years ago.. I was getting new clients every day. A few friends had an established venture going that looked WAY more promising and was bringing in a tons more in profit. I started helping them out and neglecting my baby and now I'm left with nothing. I have it in my heart to start another business but don't seem motivated. Great video. You made a lot of since. Many want to be enterpuners actually don't live out there ideas because of the fear of failure. Just make the first step. get started. That was the point of this video. Well spoken.

For me the best advice on starting a company is simply come out with an idea on the business and make friends with people that will help you make that idea come to live . I mean something like 2 or 3 very talented people and you are good to go . You can start a company with 3 people and still make a lot of money and make it into a huge corporation . The only problem is the time that it will takes because only 3 people can't work like for 100,000 people so yeah . So if they are expecting to be paid just tell them that they will not get paid at first just like you will too but that you will make them CEO's of the company when it grows and will have a massive salary so they know for what kind of purpose they work for.

if it was not this title i would never look at the video...the important fact is that i LEARNED and i UNDERSTOOD.

I watched this and tried to sell purple hexagons online. Thought I was thinking outside of the "green circle". Nobody wants purple hexagons! And now I'm like, SHIT! Now I'm trying to find work as a colored shape salesman, anyone have a lead for me?

+Ghassan Younis It makes perfect sense to me. I'll give you an example of my business. I made $2,000 with none of my money. But with my time. My idea was to make commercial videos for the local business around me. But there was a problem, I had no camera. So how did I solve that problem? I looked at my facebook friend list and saw a friend who did a lot of videos and I contacted them, pitch my idea, BAM we found out we can make money by entering video contests so we did a bunch of that, won $2000. Next step, spend that money on equipments, leftlets, business card, then call up a bunch of friends or local business and sell our service. That's how you make money without money.

As a business owner of more than 35 businesses over 30 years, this is some of the best advice ever

Hi Hans...thanks for saying! It has served me well. Way back when I shot this video, I was a brand new blogger. Today I own a 7 figure eCommerce business, a software company, and an information products company that, in aggregate generate millions a year in sales. It all started with blogging + a burning desire to make something of myself.

What you speak about, the scenario you lived once upon the time and we are living it right now, is what most educators (professors, speakers, preachers, motivational orators) lack on their teaching. The simplicity of a singular state of mind which make direct connection to most of us who did not happen to have any source of business. Many come up with books, tutorials, videos or even movies.... But your simple words describe how clueless most of us are about anything. So we hear beautiful words, technical words, unknown terms and we get scared away right in by feeling so behind not knowing most of those terms. Some times those terms are like burned rice and corn to fill up a sack of coffee. They are not coffee, they just help filling the stock to be sold. Thank you so much

This is great advice. Looking back, my business that I started and built well prior to seeing this video, followed this exact model. You truly do not see what is around the corner for your business, the future squares, dots and triangles represent what happens if you "Never Give Up"

If you watch the whole video, it isn't misleading at all. He doesn't go into detail (the video is more about being able to pivot your company to stay competitive) but near the end he somewhat explains how easy it is to start a company for little to no money.

example, Mowing lawns without a lawn mower. You can use your neighbors lawn mower if you tell him that you will mow his lawn and make sure it's maintained, or rent it from him. So, you can charge money to mow other peoples lawns, and advertise this on CL or ask surrounding neighborhoods.

Yes, retitle this video "How to Succeed in Business", but you are exactly correct, I have run my own business for 20 years, started another one 5 years ago, will start another one in the coming year, but in each case I learned so much by just doing it that I would never have learned by reading about it or thinking about it. Yes, do put a great deal of time and effort into planning your new business, but then at some point, just get started and look for the lessons your experience is teaching you, and learn and apply those direct experience lessons well, and you can greatly improve your chances of success.

Hey, Im in a tough place with my job and it's forcing me to start my own business. I work for a community with my wife as a STEM tutor and they literally just cut our budget in half yesterday. Academia is the only skill that I have that can make us money and your video taught me two things that I need to do: get up and start going to my target audience and market my butt off, and research what software that these online tutors have that allow them to write out problems on the computer screen while recording. It's bad business to dive I to your market without researching your market. So we will need to invest in cameras, microphones, and software and lighting. Thanks so much for this, we will keep our daughter in daycare because of this!

What he's really saying, is that you have to 1. Start, and 2. Understand your field. When you understand your field, you will have a much better understanding of what approaches are more effective, what risks are more worthwhile and safe, and what changes you need to make for the future. Just knowing you need to change is not enough. You need to know that you don't know enough, and in what.
