how to set goals when you have no direction & don't know what you want

Фильм және анимация

Ahhh it's that time of the year again. I have to admit that binge watching "how to set 2024 goals and achieve them" and "how to make 2024 the best year of your life" videos is one of my guilty pleasures, just because I find it interesting to see if there's anything new that people are saying about this topic, which is made every single year without fail by 1000s of personal development youtubers. (Spoiler, not really. hahaha)
But how do you set goals if you’re in a transition period, and don’t have a clear sense of where you’re heading? Or what if you just don’t have any grand aspirations or dreams right now, and don't have an end goal in mind? This video is for those people, and that's a lot of us (me included).
As I was reflecting on my 2023 and setting my 2024 goals, I realised that a few things: 1) I've actually gained some clarity over the past year about what I would like to improve on and what matters to me at this stage of my life -- in spite of feeling lost and directionless at many points this year; and 2) even if the end goal is not clear, most of us know (even if just roughly) who we want to be. Just taking small steps in that general direction is progress. You can do it, fellow wanderer!!
Happy 2024 in advance :D I'll catch you in the new year!
