Ғылым және технология

I always see the question on how do I scale my helmets to be 3d printed! Its always scary to 3d print a helmet and it not be sized right. You dont want to waste plastic or time. If you run a 3d printing business people may return if the helmets not sized perfect. In this tutorial I show exactly how to scale your 3d printed helmets to get the perfect size everytime using a free file from an awesome creator by the name of Budwin and here is the link to his file.

Been using this method only i use orca/bambu slicer and go to “objects” then unclick the helmet to make it transparent. In the slicer, you can scale the helmet and head to half (say if 90% is that you think is what you need then make it 45% and half of whatever the head is), turn off supports and slice. Then you can get a better view of how the head fits by scrolling the layers. The visibility of 3d builder with the blue xray might be better though and also looks cooler

Like I mentioned in the video the heads arent perfect replicas, but neither are the helmets you are printing a MegaMan helmet is a perfect circle so scaling that it may be wider on the ears while tight forward and back. This will get you to your goal

Now if only my head was small enough that I could actually print the helmet in my P1S :( Unless the helmet file I got was already bigger than my noggin and I need to scale it down, but following the math in the vid, I need to scale to 110%, and base model I already get warning that it's outside the print plate. Stupid big head.... this is why I can't have cool things. And of course 3D Builder isn't available anymore in the MS store and says it's already installed in Win 11 but can't find it to open it. Easy to follow video though, which is awesome if I had more print space!

What do I do for a helmet that I put in 3d builder with the head scaled to the % I need and the helmet is tiny. If I scale the helmet it makes it 4000%. It's a do3d helmet but it doesn't match now.
