This is awesome. When I do helmets, in Modo, I draw a contour around a mannequin head that I scanned and using a constraint, I can measure my exact head circumference (which is 24in). And my helmets will ALWAYS fit

Bambu needs to get a 350x350x350 or a 400x400x400 unit out there with a few more improvements to the machine and slicer. If that happens with a sub-$1000 price, they will own the FDM market.

@@jet613If they do make a bigger volume printer the speed will definitely not be as fast as the X1 or P1. But the fact it could do multiple colors it would be worth it! I hope they come out with one but I can’t imagine how much it’ll cost for something that size. Im hoping to buy the P1S in a couple days. Gonna make some money off the prints because people keep asking me for multiple colored prints. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great info just wish I saw it 4 hours ago before I started this 12 hour print :) Currently working on a 90% size F-35 helmet for my son and printing the main shell now out of black PLA to do a test fit but if it works I won't reprint it. This is gonna be a big project though with the X1C handling the larger items and my coming soon Anycubic Photon M7 handling the smaller bits, flexible parts like the oxygen mask and the clear front face shields. Tossed those into the Anycubic Photon Workshop and the fronts will just fit on the resin printer so I'll use some clear resin to print those. Got some hydrodip carbon fiber patterns coming as well to match the real helmet shell patterns. Gonna be epic when it's complete!

One of the things I didn't like about my X1C with the AMS was when doing multi material prints I noticed the filament was ramming through the PTFE tubing It wasn't causing any issues but I did swap out the PTFE that came stock from the AMS all the way to the extruder for Capricorn tubing Smooooooooth as silk now and although I can't say with 100% certainty that it helped with the filament purging between colors since I swapped out the tubing I've been able to reduce my flushing volumes with no color bleeding what so ever I also noticed since the swap that my 24 minute benchy does not have the little zits in the back I wanted to know why the bottom of the hull on the benchy looked shiny compared to the upper half so I printed it in clear PLA That is simply the infill on the bottom half giving that effect and it looks to be at around 5% infill I'm happy you are enjoying your Bambulab printer, the first one you got was a dud and that sucked I also added LED lights under my AMS which lights up the build area very bright but I leave it off during the calibration process so the lidar doesn't give a false reading
