@@zachhalliwell553 I haven't had any issues but I've seen some people worried about cracking, make sure you have the rivet as pushed in as possible before squeezing the handle. Also have heard the suggestion of using a washer on the opposite side but have never needed that.
@@SaturdayMorningProps mmm a washer might be a good idea. I did have them pushed as far in as possible but they still pulled through a bit, probably because the plastic can’t stand up to the pressure of the metal. So a washer would be a good idea. I think the cracks are okay, it didn’t spit more than an inch so I just filled it with some super glue and I’ll cover it with bondo and give it another sanding and it should be good.
@@zachhalliwell553 try maybe a size smaller drill bit, I haven't had them pull back out ever, what infill and walls do you run your prints?
@@SaturdayMorningProps that was my next thought, unfortunately I’m missing whichever bit is slightly smaller than 3/32 haha. But maybe I’ll go pick one up. I’m using 3 walls and gyroid infill at 5%, which doesn’t sound like a lot but there’s still a lot of structure in there and they’re really strong otherwise.
@@zachhalliwell553 3 walls is good I usually print at 8% but I highly doubt the 3% is why we are having different results
I DID back the giga. I am guessing I will have to shit can the OS and figure out a solid FULL bed, get a sheet for entire surface instead of the separate beds, and install auto leveling of some type.
@@tombo7719 I'll be rooting for you 🙏 hope they get it all worked out before you get one
@@SaturdayMorningProps thanks! I am checking to see if I can cancel, but I think it has been sent already. If so, I will get it working, and just use the hardware w/ all the right stuff added. Hardware its pretty dope, but what I am hearing.. that it might not be worth the cost as is. Meh.. even if nothing else, I would be a HELL of a platform to put multiple tool heads on. We will see. thanks man, appreciate the video
Everything I see about bed slingers above 300mm is just depressing. I really need a 400-500mm build plate but they're either too expensive or they're a bed slinger that can't be trusted to print that big reliably. Any hope Bamboo makes a 400+mm core x/y soon?
Cool
Thanks for this!!!!
Of course, 9 times out of 10 there is a video that can help the questions on the 3d printing advice section
I cant download 3d builder on my PC. it isn't giving me the "get" button. Anyone know why?
Check if it may have been naturally installed?
@@SaturdayMorningProps it has not been installed naturally. seems to be an issue others are having as well.
@@levipatton9207 hmm I wonder if it stops at windows 10
@@SaturdayMorningProps I'm attempting to research now on the topic. I hope not!
@@SaturdayMorningProps I'm also running windows 11
Also, did you just spray paint the buckles after you had them mounted and were spraying the whole helmet? Or did you find it would have been easier to paint the buckles first and then mount them? It seems like it might be hard to get all of the sides of the buckle while it's on the helmet and keep the paint from running.
I show in my build videos that I put them on before primer stage. It's not hard to get them covered and often I spray multiple light coats I don't try to cover everything at one timen
@@SaturdayMorningProps nice cool thanks!
always wanted to make Dumbledore's podium with the big owl and put it in my home theater, but want to make this broom too
I have a buddy who made one of those!
I wish these would fit in a p1s lol
My buddy did all 3 in his p1s
@@SaturdayMorningProps how many cuts?
@@SynysterGoose he has a small head but he did the red helmet whole and the green is front back and horns
@@SaturdayMorningProps 🤔
This looks incredible dude! great work as always :)
Thanks, pretty happy with it
Would love to see a Lord Drakken build
That's a mean looking suit for sure, got a huge backlog of helmets to do
Hi, just wanted to say this is helpful that you showed the process, especially the cura slicing. Most of all i feel this video is genuine and thorough (not filled with sometimes too much video special effects), you explained everything in detail, audience know every product you used. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Happy to help, thank you for the kind words
Where are the files needed for this located?
I would use do3d.com files they updated them and are the best bang for the buck use code smp20, the mala's files were found out to be stolen
TYSM BRO YOU SAVE ME
Can you go into more detail on how you do the elastic for the top hinge? You mention it but I don't really get how you do it or how it works, you didn't even really show it. Do you pull it tight and glue it down? How much do you use?
Check a few earlier videos if you need to see it better, no I do not pull it tight the goal is for it to be able to stretch to open. I barely use any, just two pieces hot glued to both sides at the top. It's not easy to film since you do it with the helmet closed so you can't see it happening anyway
Do you have a tutorial for how you do the hinge at the top. That's the piece I just can't figure out the best way to do.
