Thank you so much for this very informative video! My boyfriend broke his side view mirror and had to order a new one. Until then we temporarily fixed it with epoxy putty. Unfortunately he suffered from a spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung) and was hospitalized for a week when the new side mirror came in. He was unable to fix the mirror in his condition, and the broken mirror had fallen off already. I took it in my own hands to fix the his mirror myself! Thank you so much for this video, it was super easy to follow and I am glowing with pride!

On my 2003 Ford Mustang, the plastic part shown around 2:30, was actually a speaker. I had to take the speaker cover off, which showed a phillips. Removed that and followed the rest of the video no problem. Though I would recommend putting the speaker back on the door before the door panel.

Nicely done! Will do it myself now with the kind help of my friends at 1A Auto!

My only question is with the 01 mustang there is a speaker opposite to the mirror and yours had none and snapped right out. Does the speaker do the same or do I have to worry about wires and such?

You may have to disconnect a couple of wires, but it shouldn't be all that hard.

i got one question i put in some new side mirrors but the problem is that my controls to balance the mirror is not working niether the lock and unlock buttons which fuse do i go to fix it pliz help

I need to replace the windshield mirror for a 90s mustang

My mustang has a speaker where that panel that you just pried off with your finger is. Should that be taken out separately or will it come off with the panel?

Door doesn't have to be taken off at all..or even inner door panel. Just take something to pry tweeter cover off, a Phillips screw or two is deep in tweeter cavity. Once speaker is disconnected and switches removed. you can reach through both to disconnect harness and install new side mirror.

If i have the Mach 1000 audio system is it the same steps?

Thank you for the video! Very clear, except one step. There's a white plastic clip that you push into place at 4:43. But you don't show how you took it out earlier. It seems that some pieces of the video were lost or cut during editing. My 2001 V6 has a red clamp (not white) and I'm having a hard time removing it without breaking in it.

Oh, I see now that your replacement mirror came with that white clip already attached. Mine doesn't have it, so I want to reuse the old one... I'll think of something. Thanks!

I understand that it makes it easier removing the whole door panel but you don’t really need to remove it all.. that’s just a whole lot of extra work for nothing

Don't have an 11mm, 7/16 works also.

So question what if I have the Mach audio ?
