It is not that bad, price out a front or rear bumper tow hook on a new audi or mercedes. It's about $300. And it is a literal 1 inch by 1 inch square. The only thing with this American Muscle cowl is it was a bit too long, I installed it on my 2003 mustang and had to cut about a quarter inch off each side. After that it fit fine.

I wish this video mentioned being careful when removing the cowl and washer fluid hose, as my fluid hose broken into several sections when I lifted the cowl.

I just installed one after watching the girl from AM installation video on KZread what she doesn't show is prepping the cowl by attaching the 6 clips onto the cowls tabs and applying the rubber strips, this is a quality piece I had to bend it and use some force to fit it into the corner pockets I was imagining it breaking but its made out of some tuff stuff thankfully, the one I removed was thin and fragile it basically fell apart during removal the new cowl seems thicker so I'm confident it will last, thanks AM for the video and great customer service you provide I also purchased a BBK X pipe along with the Borla cat back system muffler shop charged 500 for install which seemed fair the owner said it it turned my stock 2000 GT into an instant hot rod, much more fun to drive just wish it was stick shift now anyway I was pulled over by police 1 week ltr for doing 74 in a 45 undercover officer was parked right where it changes from 55 to 45 lawyer costing 500 not sure what the fine will be but he said he should be able to get it lowered to a no point violation for a first offence...

Didn't add that you don't send the push pins but clips that aren't needed plus the fact that you have to install the weather striping on the edges and that peeling the backing off can pull the adhesive off bc there are no pull tabs.

Yep this kit included all of the weather stripping and clips. Just need to trim off excess weather stripping. Compare to original

Make sure you have black spray paint ready for your wipers while they off 👍

The carbon fiber part is like $20 more. And it looks way cooler

Jajajajaja I was thinking the same thing

I used this part after my car got destroyed by hail in 2016. Super easy install, no issues at all. It is pretty expensive, but that's because it's OEM not aftermarket. (Besides, insurance covered it so whatever)

Thank you for this I just did some under the hood work on mine a took the hood off to have more space and broke the cowl in the process so time to replace😊

Got it at cj pony parts for less than 200 bucks black finished with hardware included and it fits like a glove or if u want to get a real cool shit go to mr body kit they have in carbon fiber but that's pretty pricey but it's really a nice piece

It’s almost impossible to find a non cracked one of these at a junk yard. You can tell when one was found cause it will be gone completely. No fragments non broken pieces left over. 😜

Theres one made in China a friend bought and it came in 2 pieces of what looked like a 3d printed copy made out of hard plastic. Im sure this one matches or betters stock one and for what I can see in the vid, its flexible and has that extra llip, which the cheaper version didnt.. Mines cracked and I need to get one of these. Thanks for video !

Fuck that price I'll just go to the junkyard get one and repaint it for like 30$

Pretty cool but way too expensive, ai had the dude down the street build one in his garage, charged me 80 bucks and looks good as new

From a junkyard? It will crumble like peanut brittle when you’ll try to remove it. Plastic becomes brittle with age and years of baking in the sunlight.
