New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ic/1ASLF00233
This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 2007-2017 Jeep Compass. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2007 Jeep Compass
2008 Jeep Compass
2009 Jeep Compass
2010 Jeep Compass
2011 Jeep Compass
2012 Jeep Compass
2013 Jeep Compass
2014 Jeep Compass
2015 Jeep Compass
2016 Jeep Compass
2017 Jeep Compass

Such an excellent video. The detail about the order and method of reinstalling the arm was priceless. The part where she adjusted the ball joint with a hammer to achieve the best angle for re inserting it was a huge tip that will hopefully make the job a lot easier when I attempt this repair.

Thank you I'm glad you're not like the other Hot shot mechanics on KZread. Revving their engines . And saying yep it's only four bolts. And magically everything just slides right into place. I've done ball joints in arms before. Just seeing if there's any other tricks I can learn thank you. Usually I use a floor jack is not working very well this time for me lol

Thanks for this, almost done with my kids. Knowing that I did not need to preload the suspension, having the steel inserts on the control arm bushings, is a great thing!! Thanks

When the torque wrench beeps, you're supposed to stop, not keep tightening. Forward and rear bolt for reference.

This method did not work for me on a 17 Compass, I struggled for hours to line it up. Instead of removing the Axle nut remove the two 21 mm bolts holding the strut and disconnect the outer tie rod 18mm.. Way easier to install and remove and you don't need the 32 mm axle nut. Overall you need 21 and 18 mm sockets and wrenches; 19mm for the lugs

The video with the Men are much better. This lady is mumbling and adding steps that are unnecessary and leaving out others that are. WTH?
