How to Replace Car AC Heater Door Actuator | 2007 Ford Mustang

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I will show you how to fix the clicking sound coming from your car AC. This process will work on many different cars. The one I am using today is a 2007 mustang.
To do that we must replace the Air door actuator.
If you have an older car this will happen to you.
Parts go bad and get old and it's part of life.
The actuator can be complicated to get to but the process to replace it is super simple and you shouldn't be afraid of replacing it.
Gear used in this video:
05-09 Mustang Actuator:

Ebay: ebay.to/3376GBE
These are affiliate links to either ebay or amazon which help me create solid content on this channel. Doesn't cost you anything, just head to products through the above links. Thanks!
Hope this helps you guys!
Enjoy!

Here's a story for you. I had the same clicking issue. It was the lower actuater. The car had been hit with a tornado and the glass was smashed along with the dash. Some of the glass and plastic had fallen into the air system and I believe that's what busted the actuater. I replaced it but the air was coming out if the defroster vent. I tried changing it from the climate control and no matter what I did, the air kept coming out of the defroster. All of the sudden, everything shut down. No fan, no rear defroster no nothing! Checked fuses, relays, and I even replaced the fan resistor to no avail. I finally decided to replace the climate control and viola! The ac started working and it was coming out of the correct vent! I believe the year the car spent under a tarp exposed that climate control to water because the radio also quit and I believe water had found its way into the radio and blew out the internal amps on the radio. When I got the car, the left bank worked but the right bank was dead. I had a rainstorm that came in, and even though I had it under a canvass tarp, water was able to get into the car. I had to vacuum quite a bit of water out of the floor after that rain but the speakers no longer worked in it. I did quite a bit if work on the car. You can check out my youtube channel to see what I had to do. It's pretty interesting to see the transformation. It's a 2007 mustang gt tornado project. I drive it daily even though I also own a 99 mustang cobra svt! I really like mustangs. They are great cars!

Thank you for the video. You need to be rubberband man to do this. If your over 50 go to an AC mechanic. I was able to do it... with the help of God, a few prayers, and a # 7 #8 socket. Most of the time I was blind difficult to tell you positioned it correctly. Only tip is to set the device then set one screw. This was one royal pain in the butt install for a somewhat old guy and I would never do it again.

I had the clicking issue but it still worked for defrost and floor. But all sudden the blower stopped so I took out my blower motor and tested it and it works. But I changed the blower resistor still just incase. And it still don't want to work. It will turn like a little and stop and repeats. But if I hook it to a battery it goes full speed no problems. I checked all fuses to make sure none was bad. It's starting to agrivate me now because I can't figure out why it won't work when I put it back in the car but will when I hook it to a battery to test it.
