Thank you, Dom for making informaive, interesting and instructive videos for Cubase/studio recordists. Two things that might make the videos easier to enjoy and employ: 1. When demonstrating DIFFERENCES and distictions between settings, use /the exact same audio segment\ so the distiction isn't lost by changes in phrasing, tonality, and volume [SPECIFIC 1: In this video - the second line in the female vocal comes in .on top of. the reverb making it difficult to hear the distinction it seems is being illustrated (diffusion and tonality)] [SPECIFIC 2: while the overall video playback speed can be changed by the viewer - if the narration track is edited to remove little gaps (to shorten video?) it creates a subtle anxiety of not having time to process the info before the next point is presented. 2. To help viewers watch the subject - remove visual distractions in the talking segments. [Do the changing lights and the little screen behind the presenter /add\ to the content? If not, they pull the user out of the experience when they shift.] Thanks again for all the good work you do.

Fantastic and energetic summary or reverb concepts. Thanks for caring about music production so passionately on behalf of those of us who are learning. One Question: Can you discuss pros/cons of applying individual reverb settings to each track as opposed to adding an overall reverb for the entire mix? better to choose between, do both, only on the master out?

Nice guide, and it's clear that you don't have to get the most amazing reverb - stock plugins do the trick. Having said that, here are my recently-used reverbs: - Crystalline: has a great ducker facility and intuitive controls - Neoverb: allows surgical EQ on the reverb - Raum: huge but clear reverb effects - Spaced Out: simple reverb but coupled with a delay for some interesting effects - Pigments: Ok, it's a synth! But it has some very interesting delay/reverb combos (pitch shift, shimmer etc) that can easily be dialled in as part of your sound design

Everyone here on KZread only sells speakers, microphones and plugins. Logical with affiliate links and commission! It's all about money here. From time to time I follow "Make Pop Music" where music is produced and mixed. The others only sell you products 👍 A documentary will be out soon anyway, and then you will see whether there are small gifts from the companies on top of the commissions 👍 But I found the video informative. Well, maybe the viewer just wants me like this pointless sales show. 1000 more plugins! Then Billie Eiliish comes along and shoots a #1 hit in the bedroom with Stock Plugins! Well, you can have 1000 guitars, just no use if they can't play? But this Video from you was good. I could learn somethis 👍

after it depend on the algo too, the sp2016 it's one of the rare i sometime prefer the room than plate even for a 2s reverb, but it's taste. i personally try to reduce the number of reverb in my tool. cos the risk is to use to many differents reverb in the mix and lost a coherence. And take time to learn each, love the glow cos it permits most if reverb type, the pulse and eventide sp2016 great sound and very fast to set up, cos spend 5min to set up a reverb it's not good cos we lost what we looking for and sometimes we fight and nano details.

I mostly use Cubase 12 stock reverb, revelation and it is great, no need to spend money. :) if you want some characteristic reverb, to do something specific and stand out a bit than spend some time and money to get what you need. Revelation will do great to make things sit in the mix, give room sound as well as make things a bit bigger.

I always watch your videos dom. Ive been using cubase 12 AI.. so im very limited. I would like it very much if you could do a video on what comes in the AI version. I cant afford pro just yet but i will definitely be buying it. Id buy it just for the basic channel strip. In AI the channel strip only has a compressor and EQ built in. Plus the four insert slots... since being so limited ive had to learn every control a bit better. I use the plugin that just says dynamics because i think thats cool and easy to use and understand. Luckily i brought a ur44c so i got the morthing channel strip plugin that was free with my ur44c. That is amazing.. i dont play a instrument at all and just program every in midi and use one shot samples for my drums.. dom is it possible to create a song with what i have from idea to master at a pro level.. id really like to know how to turn the insert slots from saying pre to post. As i think the channel strip compression and eq comes after the insert. Is it possible to change it to post sometimes as i see in the pro version of cubase. Please do a video on AI dom i bet there are loads of people watching who need this kind of thing. Im just a beginner bedroom studio owner so like most beat makers just starting out with AI we need more videos on things that come with cheaper versions.... thanks for everything you are doing for people finding it a struggle the first few years plus all the pro tips..
