What if I have my other two remotes and want to add a 3rd for my kid to have?

Need help I have the keys original w the truck but I was messing with my fobs because of my remote start inop. Now I can’t get them to reprogram.

I have tried these procedures on my sierra 21 yet the message didn’t show up on the display, I think it doesn’t work with Middle East specs

Ive tried these procedure ls 4 times. Body shop killed my battery. I have the 2 original fobs I'm trying to reprogram. I have no idea why its not working for a 2019 Chevy 1500. Please help

In other models, do the buttons have to face down? Did this procedure in a buick with the buttons facing up and the proximity key nor the buttons work anymore. It starts the car while over the transmitter though

I’m scared to try and program my second fob and delete my main one then I’m stuck with a non working truck 🙄

I have both keys but the one I want for driver one is programmed for driver two. Is there a way to change the driver 2 key fob to driver 1?

You can go through this procedure which will erase the keys and then reprogram them in the order you want. You will need to start with the keys far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be detected.

I lost fob 1 I currently have two other fob 2 and 3 with cut door keys can I use this procedure with the fob I currently have so I’d end up having fob 1 & 2 instead of 2 & 3?

Hi, I just picked up my 2021 AT4 and lost one key fob….gonna punish myself for eternity, ordered a new fob. I can get the key cut with my second factory fob, does this procedure un program my existing fob forcing me to reprogram the new one and the old one? Also all my doors are keyless entry. Where do I insert the cut key and turn in to the left 5 times? Thank you for you tule in advance. Omar

All remotes will be erased with this procedure and any you want to keep will need to be re-programmed. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video - you would need to repeat steps 4-6 for your original remote after the new one is programmed.

I lost fob 1 and have fob 2, once i follow the steps and get the new one programmed will that become fob 1 for the memmory seats and then when i do fob 2 4-6 steps it will be fob 2?

Yes, you will just need to re-program in your existing smart key as it will be erased during the procedure. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video, you will repeat steps 4 - 6 for your "old" smart key after the new one is programmed.

Please answrr my question i have a 2022 gmc sierra they gave me 2 key fob but i have a 2019 gmc sierra you think they will work the key fob with the 2019

No - these fobs lock to a vehicle once programmed and need to be unlocked by someone with the correct equipment before they can be programmed to a different vehicle.

So I have the 2 keys that come with my 2019 Sierra (and get the memory functions for driver 1 and driver 2)...do you know if it is possible to get a 3rd key for a teenager that is getting their license and program it this way (obviously it wouldn't have driver memory)? Like can you do more than 2 keys with this vehicle or does it just stop after 2?

You can have up to 8 smart keys programmed at one time. Buttons broke on my 19 Sierra fob. I bought a eBay replacement. I can program so I have a spare or does that unprogram the remaining OEM fob?

it will erase the original fob. The original fobs can normally be re-programmed during the procedure but that won't work if the buttons do not work on the fob

The smart key is shown in this video but unfortunately the regular fobs for the non-push button start ignition vehicles are not manually programmable.

I got a key fob from my 2019 Sierra and try to learn it into my 2021 Sierra. After following the steps it still will not learn into the 2021 Sierra. Any idea?

Reading the user manual it says the feature isn’t available in Canada my truck originated from Canada. I tried the procedure and didn’t get the message on the dash

That's correct - unfortunately this will not work on Canadian vehicles.

It will erase all previous remotes and they will need to be re-programmed during the procedure by using the method I outlined in my previous comment.

There is a diagram in the video that shows you were to place the fob

My 2019 gmc sierra 1500 i follow the step but don't know why the new key have to place on the center console pocket to start the vehicle and my old key doesn't work any more . 😕

@@deloreshaze did you find it? If you have the bench seat, the very bottom of the middle seat cushion should flip up and reveal a pocket for a fob to sit. Hopefully that helps!

Hmmmm. when I put the key in door and turn 5 times, nothing comes up on my display. I have a 2020 AT4. I'm trying to program a second FOB only. HELP PLEASE!

some vehicles only show the messages for a few seconds - try just going off of the time. Also, if you look at the steps in the description box of the video - you will need to repeat steps 4-6 for your original remote after the new one is programmed as the original will be erased.

Man I’ve done this before and I guess I bought the wrong key fob because it still tells me no key fob found on the dash

If you just bought the key fob then its possible it was not unlocked or not unlocked properly. After these fobs are programmed they lock to the vehicle and have to be unlocked or "flashed" before they can be used again.

I would guess that they probably sent you the flip-keys for a non-push button start vehicle. The push button and non-push button flip-keys look identical but they are not interchangeable. If you order different ones try to make sure the listing specially states they are for push start vehicles ( also sometimes called "Passive Entry" )

So that's what it is..... ????? A GMC Sierra Smart Key Remote Fob 2019 - 2021 or your Cadillac..... ?????
