I sold mine too, I needed the money. I also need to focus on more productive things on my life rather than video games. People in general just fail to see how expensive gaming is. Especially if you're the common young adult, you're limited on money, some games, Nintendo games in particular don't go down in price often. And besides, Nintendo is known for re-releasing iterations of the same console, if I want another one I can get another one. I had over 15 games and got $550. I needed that money for something important. I liked the console, but it needs more in order to be excellent. Backup saves and more than bare bones online are what we need. I already 100% completed Mario Odyssey and almost BOTW. I love Xenoblade 2, best game on the system, but I can't sink time into RPGs that much anymore.. I could just watch the entire story on youtube if I need to. So yeah people have reasons for selling their games. People also play video games too much. Go do some other things in life before you end up regretting it on your death bed.

Tip: when booting the switch hold volume up and volume down to get into a recovery mode. There is an option here to reset

Hi, thanks for the Video it was very helpful. I have a question. The Nintendo switch i want to sell has water damage. Thing is that even though its not working i think its fixable but not worth keeping (when you try to power on the Nintendo logo comes up but then the power shuts off soon after). I want to sell it but obviously cannot get to the factory settings to clear my son's account. My question is how dangerous or how much exposure have i left us open to by selling it without putting it back to factory settings?

If you have a digital game with data saved to the cloud, will the data still be there? And also, if you have a physical copy that does not allow data saves(cough cough* Splatoon 2) and you sign in to your account on another nintendo switch will all the data be saved on the cartridge/ on the user?

Oh thank you so much! My uncle bought a Switch Lite for my sister and I to share as a gift. I was so very happy and grateful that he did that. (I'm still eternally grateful) But what I didn't know was thst HE set up our account for us. I got really upset since all I thought was that he just bought it and that was it. No set up, no bs, I thought that he would leave that to US to make. We don't even know our own password! Which sucks! J Lite is cheaper. You’re selling your main Switch for a lot more money. And also the Lite seems to fit most casual switch gamers.

You'll need to upgrade your TV so it has HDMI 2.1 compatibility or you eont be able to use your PS5
