You bought a used switch and it had an account already on it? And this worked? I bought one off ebay and it has someone's info and I want to wipe it but am hesitating in case when it restarts it asks for info I don't have.

@Natalia Treviño Perez Nothing else I could do, I wiped it. I was able to log in with my info and it all worked out. Not sure what firmware I was on then though so that might not work now. My switch I bought hadn't been used online much so I must have been on an older version. Hope that helps!

I’m going to include the microSD card in the sale to my buddy, so I reset the cache, reset the keyboard, formatted the SD card and now I’m about to initialize. Is this okay to do or is is absolutely necessary to pull the SD card out before “initializing console?”

Just wanna ask what about the game cards would they get rid of the information so when a new buyer comes no information or my worlds will come on? Just wondered as I’m selling mine tomorrow

What happens afterwards? Does it shut down entirely again, or do I need to factory reset yet again to get the proper “fresh” start screen? And if it goes into rest mode after resetting and turning it on for the first time, is it possible to turn it off?
